And curse you AE for making such well built well engineered trucks. If they broke all the time ertc I think thered be a lot more participation on the forums. As it sits it seems like they get the truck, get it running and are off enjoying it and not posting here anymore

I voted yes... but like I've said before, there is already a MGT forum with more info that anyone could ever need... and a couple select others that are helpful and friendly too.

I don't think there should be any sub-forums myself. BUT...

HPI have a bunch of MTs (or at least, lots of Savage variations).
Traxxas have a bunch of MTs
Losi...yep, you guessed it, have a bunch of MTs.
AE have...er...one. And it's not even very popular compared to the others above.

You see the problem here?

Unless there's a significant majority from hundreds of votes, it ain't gonna happen. I voted 'no'.

Like I say, if it were up to me, I'd have just two MT forums, nitro and electric, then nobody needs to get jealous.

Foxy - "AE have...er...one. And it's not even very popular compared to the others above. "

AE have 3, yes count em, 3 MT out right now. And the thread on the one thats been out the longest was at like 330+ pages I think, which is cool, but if it were in a subforum questions pertaining to suspension would have their own thread I would hope, engines another, etc, so it would be streamlined. At this point, it probably doesnt matter anyway as theres lots of places to get good info on the Associated stuff if you know where to look. without having to beg for our own section.

Also, on another note, the Mini is priced at $350 out the door at my LHS, Ill bet associated has hit a homerun with that thing. I love mine, so easy to tune, runs great, built really well. Kudos to Associated for building a nice affordable truck to help get people into the hobby.

Technically AE has 4 Mts if you count the .21 version.

There are 3 AE trucks. the popularity of the trucks sure is increasing. Apparently though, RCU doesnt want to make it easier for the new users of the trucks to find the info they need easily. I'll always represent the 'competing' forums due to this. why beat a dead horse when RCU doesnt care. many of the MGT users dont post here any more because they know where to go for the proper info. No one is jealous either about not having a AE forum. They just want to find info easier. I guess some people can't distinguish the 2 differences.

welll when u look at it, HPI only have 1 MT, but there are many different versions of it, traxxas have 2, losi have 1 which is also all 1 chassis, AE have 2 MTs, so whats the problem? It cant be a matter of how many trucks they have, as ae have more trucks than losi and HPI. I dont see what the problem is of looking after your consumers, we make this place run, we ask for 1 thing and u wont even trial it. What makes the other trucks so much better that they get there own forum? yeah there all great trucks, but so is the AE line of trucks. There are MANY owners of the AE line of trucks, alot frequent the mgtforum as there is no designated spot here, if you trialed a AE subforum u would problably see a large ammount of posts goin on here.

I think stating that no one 'cares' is in error. The interest must be there, and considering the MT forums have 600k+ posts and there are only a handful of votes here, it seems the majority interest is not focused on this subforum possibility. Plus, I am the one who suggested this poll and subsequent thread, and I am all for it It just doesn't mean everyone will agree with me, and while that is something I can do nothing about, it is also something I accept.

Remember that we may not always agree on the policies, but I can say that many dozens of MT questions are answered and problems solved here every day. And this despite the lack of everyone's individual choices.

I think the mods are expecting way too high of a number of votes. Really, how many people do you think regularly come to this site on the MT forums? I am in the HPI and Losi MT forum alot. the HPI is active, but really it's the same 20-25 members making most of the posts. The Losi forum isnt very active with the same 10-15 members that make most of the post. I think the AE forum would be active enough, but MOST importantly help the AE guys better. Many of them are new to nitro MTs and RC forums in general. Just seems to make sense to cater to the customers. But if not, then I see it as RCU's loss, as the MGT guys and new AE guys figure out another forum for their needs.

I remember when the first MGT came out, we begged for a subforum and were given one. Back then I was the only one posting in it. Then RCU tried it again after there were more owners. It failed again for lack of participation. If RCU and the mods see fit to start another MGT forum you guys better support it or it will be the last nail in the coffin I am sure.

BTW I still have my MGT .21 with the flag body. It is in the closet since I got a HPI Baja.

While it has been asked for many times, I think that we have much more owners of the MGT versions now than ever before.

Ok Ill jump in and offer an opinion. I voted "yes" only for the fact that it would make things easier for us to find. Other than that I don't see a need here for one. There already is a MGT forum and the same 20 or so questions and 10 or so mods are brought up over and over again. One can only discuss the "dual tanks", "side mount pipe", or "which hexes do I need?" so many times. 98% of all of the MGT threads I have read over the last 4 days (I would guess well over 3k threads) all ask the same stuff. Yes there was a few original questions but most were answered before. This is a problem with having suck a small product base and wanting to have a forum for each manufacturer's products. I understand where the Admins and Mods are coming from. I Admin a small photography forum and everyone wants a specific camera section based on different manufactures. Yes we have sections for the big 2 (Canon and Nikon) but until the member base fills up with users for other manufactures I am not going to waist bandwidth for 20 or 30 people.

Anyway if RCU does decide to give a AE forum another shot I will be sure to post in it every chance I get.

that info is the least important.
Im more thinking of (how to install a foc, or how to shim diffs.)
But once again there are other sites that will tell you that stuff.

I guess what I don't understand is if this many people are calling for it, why not create it? It's not going to cost you anything to have an Associated sub-forum and it will get used. The various threads (MGT, mMGT, and 8.0) get posted to all the time and a sub-forum would help separate out all of the topics within each one of those. Why the resistance on the part of RCU staff?
