this is a good model...i built one last year and she flys wonderfully...the cg is at the spar so you have to relocate the mains rearward...this will eliminate a lot of the weight up front up to keep the nose down...clean up the ducting and you can fly her on a 3s 2100 pack...hope this helps...

Gunracer,

Thank you for your comments and for your build information on the Global Hawk. Now that
I have read your build, you are the Master of the Hawk! I hope that I can get mine finished
this season and with your forum as a guide, I think that I can. I'm glad that you posted the
link.

Ok, I have to have one now. Bad news is sonicelectric are sold out and do not antisipate geting more due to not having a steady market for them.

Ok folks, find dealers that will not charge $150 for an ARF that was sold for $75!!!! "I want my Global Hawk!"

Hi,

Just a quick Query before I glue - are Y connectors used for the tail and the ailerons ?

Which chanels connect to which ?

Do I use mixing ?

Sorry if the answers are self evident but just thought I'd ask now while I can still alter the config.

Many Thanks

From the  Predator Rq-1B thread

< Message edited by papajeff 6/2/2008 8:42 PM >

You are not alone, as the "V" tail configuration is a little confusing. Try this; from the back of the plane,
twist, on the axis, slightly to the right. Now, the top (left "V" tail) becomes the rudder and the right "V"
tail becomes the elevator. Then set up your receiver (I used a Spektrum AR 6100) as follows;
ESC to Throttle position
Aileron servos to Aileron position
Top (left "V" tail) servo to Elevator position
Right "V" tail servo to Rudder position

Depending on your transmitter, (I use a DX-7) you may have a "V" tail setting mode that has to be
enabled. This sure worked for me, so give it a try and let me know if it turned out OK.

Also, there are 4 servos needed; 2 for the ailerons and one for each of the "V" tails.

Is this the same config for the Global Hawk ?

Just a quick Query before I glue - are Y connectors used for the tail and the ailerons ?

Sorry if the answers are self evident but just thought I'd ask now while I can still alter the config.

Many Thanks
