Specialzed -> Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 !*Update*! I found a video and review! (3/14/2008 4:17 AM)

While looking at info about the new pajero I came across this as what looks thike the first rc 1/10 scale SUV ive ever seen. I wonder what it will be like brushless. Does anyone else plan on buying this?

tamiya used to make the touareg based on the cc-01 chassis.

looks like that cayenne is going on the list.... looks pretty damn sweet... 3 more tamiya models i need to get. damn this hobby[:@]

Yeah ive been looking at that cayenne, definitely like it. The next tamiya I want is the land rover crawler thing though [:D]

The FJ cruiser? ya im not really into rock crawling, only high speed rally. Im probly picking up both the new pajero and this in the summer. I will need to find body off shots first before I do order these.

The Pajero isn't built for speed, the XC chassis is the exact same as a CC-01 chassis but with a slightly shorter wheel base.

What does the land rover have to do with an FJ Cruiser?

Uh, they are completely different.

XC chassis is more scale and CC-01 is full on crawler.

[edit]I was thinking of the CR01....Josh is right.

You called it a land rover, it's an Toyota Land Cruiser.

sheograth -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 6:56 AM)

Gah youre right, I always forget that.

I called it a land rover, he called it an FJ cruiser, and it IS a land cruiser [:D][:)]

wrong twice, the pajero can be modded into a speed demon, and the CC-01 is a rock crawler.

nvm the CC-01 is a toureg so your only wrong on one account.

Lunchboxer -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 7:20 AM)

XC and CC are the same except different wheelbase.. Josh was right..

The new Cayenne is DF-01, based on a shaft drive, 4-wheel independent suspension chassis..

XC/CC uses front independent suspension (double a-arm setup) and rear solid axle...

Man this thread is getting repetitive!...[;)]

This is the chassis the Porsche will be on.

My nitro would always turn heads, but hopefully this and a sidewinder will do the same.

Specialzed -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 7:59 AM)

actually its gunna be on a revamped model of this [image]http://tamiyablog.com/uploaded_images/Cayenne-749756.JPG[/image]

Josh222 -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 8:08 AM)

XC/CC01's roll over with a silver can on pavement, good luck with brushless[:D]

Specialzed -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 8:45 AM)

well if you know how to drive, I intend to tame the power. plus in dirt there will be no flipping.

13BT -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 4:21 PM)

the uni joints are very weak on the xc. I broke mine by using faster motors. I use only silver can ones now.

Lunchboxer -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 5:29 PM)

Which "univ joints" are you talking about? Can you post some pic?

Lunchboxer -> RE: Tamiya Cayenne S Transyberia 2007 DF01 (3/14/2008 5:30 PM)

Josh knows how to drive....... [:D]

Well this isnt the CC-01, this ia a modded TA-01. It will be going brushless.
