Hi, I'm very new to rc heli itself and now can hover 'okay' in steady wind.
I wanted to start my UH1E Iroquois scaling on Belt-CP.
I couldn't find it but if you could provide me the following information, I'll highly appreciate it.:
-payload for ESKY Belt-Cp
-How does 2 rotor, no paddle work?

What should be my budget cut-off for the project?

Hmmm, Belt cp can carry quite a bit weight. The only thing you need to gaurd against is to much weight because you can begin to heat up your electronics because of the amperage boost that will be needed to haul the weight. Heat will degrade your electronics.
The idea is to keep it light unless you plan on upgrading to better more capable electronics. I myself as most people know I make bodies for the belt CP. My approach is keep it simple. So Far all my bodies can be flown using a stock Belt CP or 450 size helicopter. No need to really upgrade electronics. For an example of weight, I have a Blackhawk fuselage that weighs in at 305 grams this includes the custom landing gear, platform and wheels. Basically ready to accept the belt cp's chassis. I think its the heaviest of all the bodies I make so far and the belt Cp will haul it just fine.

I must add if you have a buget cut off, you may not get very far in the hobby. scale helis are going to what you make it. you can go all out or keep it simple. It will depend on you. Ive been in the RC Heli side of the hobby for about 5-6 years I fear to sit down and try to figure how much I have spent on all this stuff I might look like this but as long as I dont do that I can continue to look like this

the cut-off is a 1000 dollars yet, so I think I can do as much as I want but I prefer to keep it low as possible.

I will upgrade my Belt-CP to fit UH1 then UH60 heli for enjoyment later, the side question but most important to me is the number of rotors.

UH1 has 2 with no paddles, I want my rc heli to be able to do that
UH60 has 4 with no paddles and elevated tail rotor, I want my rc heli to do that too.

Once I step up to 3d level, I'll hand over the 3d job to my HBK2, then my Belt-CP will start on scale hobby.
I saw in this forum a person turning a 6ch heli into 5 rotors Hughes, How do you do that?!

When I'm done with learning
I would like to convert my Belt-CP into two rotor helicopter w/o paddles. Could someone walk me through?

Yes you can "upgrade" your main rotor system to a fully rigid flybarless system, but it will cost BIG bucks in parts, then there is the handling/stability problems you will incur. There are electronic solutions available to help with this, but again,at a cost.If your new to scale, keep it simple and see if thats really the direction you want to go.It gets spendy real fast.

Could you share the knowledge on how it works and what items I would want?
Like I said, my cut off will be at one grand. Will that be enough?

You could use the mulitrotor system off the T-Rex 450. I think it would work since people use the se heads on the Belt CP. The multi rotor heads cost around $250+. Then Mikado makes a flybarless electronic system and I think that is in the $500 range. Helihobby carries that. Or you could use seperate gyros on the elevator, aileron, and PIT servos. There is also another system out there, but I can't remember what it was called and where to find it. With out those electronics the mulitrotor systems are very touchy from what I have heard. For an elevated tail rotor, you would have to make that yourself. No one makes it for the Belt CP size that I know of. I can only think of two companies that offer them: Vario and minicopter. And that is only for their helicopters.

thanks a lot for the info.
Should I have my motor upped since it'll have to extra weight?

Your welcome. You could start with the stock motor. If it seems underpowered then you could upgrade.

Keep in mind all fuselages are not the same. Weight is critical. I fly all my fuselages with basically stock inexpensive components. I can do this because my fuselages are light in weight. Being light in weight, they are also pretty sturdy. You can buy the FG bodies but they will be heavier and as a comparison, My Hughes 500 bodies are more than a 100 grams lighter than the FG body.

My eventual goal is having 4 rotor head with elevated tail rotor for Black Hawk.

whoever's picture that is, the heli on the left has elevated tail rotor. Could you please tell me how you did that?

Here's a link to an elevated tailrotor system. These may work for you. Also is a pic of my unfinished darthdrk UH-1H fuse for my hbk II.I will have to make the elevated tail for this size heli (300).My 450 will be much easier for scale. It's been sitting on my shelf for too long now, gotta make the time to finish it up one of these days.
