Just wondering if anyone who owns a Aeroworks Yak54 QB-75cc has tried just a single HS-5955 or 8711 servo on the inner bay only (instead of two per aileron) for the aileron control ??

If so, were you running the recommended Hi Rates ??? (3D throws)

Appreciate the help and replies !! Dan

I only use the inner bay with a 5955 on a 33% cap and 46% ultimate.

from the pics on the aero works site the 75cc plane has only one spot for an aileron servo per wing so i would say its made for just one servo per wing

The above posted picture looks like it is for the Extra 260 and NOT the Yak. The Extra does in fact come with a one servo wing, but Niteman asked about the Yak 54 which I think is a two servo wing.

The Yak definitely has to servo bays unlike the Extra 260. I have a Comp Arf 2.6 Extra I built with a DA 85 and love it.

Just wanted to see what the Yak 75cc will due on the DA 85 AND keep the bird as light as I possibly can.

Hopefully some real time folks will chime in on this who actually own or have owned this Yak and have tried a single servo etc....

To my knowledge no one has tried a single servo in the Yak. If you were to use a single servo it will have to have atleast 300 oz's of torque. Make sure you mount it in the inboard bay. However if you are running the DA 85 the weight will not be an issue. I flew one of our 75cc Extras yesterday and the power was unreal.
