For Immediate Release Radio-Controlled Airplane Event Set For April 12 at Lowe's Motor Speedway

CONCORD, N.C. (March 12, 2008) - The skies over Lowe's Motor Speedway will be buzzing Saturday, April 12, when the Flying Aces Pilots' Association hosts its Spring Fly-In on the grounds of the motorsports facility.

Featuring many of the Southeast's top radio-controlled airplane pilots, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 75 miniture aircraft are expected to take to the sky, including vintage war birds and aerobatic planes. RCPRO, will also present a sport-plane pylon racing demonstration.

Sanctioned by the Academy of Model Aeronautics, the event will take place in a specially designed "flying field" located in the parking areas behind the speedway's backstretch.

There is a $10 landing fee for pilots. Event and registration information can be obtained by contacting Ed Winters at (704) 992-6075 or Evan Doughty at (704) 779-1767
Paved and grass runways, food and drinks available


Pre registration Info:

I know it's late, but I finally have the registration page for the April 12, 2008 Fly-In online. You can go to the http://www.lowesrc.com page and visit the registration page or view the flier from there.

You can go to http://www.lowesrc.com/RegList.aspx to view the current registration list.

I went to a lot of trouble making sure that your privacy is respected. You can opt to not be listed, or you can choose to show your email. It's up to you. Only myself and the event officers have full access to the information.

Please register if you are coming, and please let me know if you have any trouble with the registration process.
