I am thinking about the next model.
Last week made a start with the Shark with a full cowl but I want to make another very nice speed model.
Has anyone a suggestion or a wish ?

Ever thought about a true speed monster...?

Not a "scale" model but something like that Shark, fully cowled engine and pipe, but sized for .60-.90 size engines... Inverted engine setup, high wing, long slender fuse, V-tail perhaps...

I have thought about that kind of model but for a 40 engine.
I will start with the Shark and that one wll have a full cowl around the engine and pipe.
Do you have a sample how the model must look ?

Look,
I would suggest a 90 sized speed model also. Something designed the OS 91DF, proven engine, very reliable, correct sized tune pipes available. Lots of 40 sized stuff around to go really fast, just look at the q40 or other pylon racers. Nothing currently made for the larger engines.
Hand launch skid landing something just like your Beretta just a lot larger.
Like this would be awesome

Thank you.
And then with a full cowl around the engine and pipe.
Very thin fins and the tail and nose longer. I will think about it.
Thank you very much for the samples.
Are more flyers interested in this kind of models or other models ?

If you want to see how much interest you should draw up a rough sketch and start a seperate thread. I know at least 4 or 5 people that would probably buy something 90 sized.

I will start a separate thread about a new model later. Important is to finish the running stuff.
Thanks.

Back to the Strega. Yesterday morning very early I have made the first fuselage in the new mold.
After some speedflying that day I have made the belly pan. This afternoon I can relieve the fuse out of the mold.
The belly pan tomorrow. Now I can work again on the firewall.

The firewall drawings and CNC cutting files are ready. All fits very well in the cut off nose. Tomorrow I will cnc cut the firewall parts in a good quality 3mm plywood and glue them together to 9mm total. So tomorrow I can build in the engine. Starting with taping the spinner plate to the fuse. Do this carefully and do not forget to mount the small alu Tru Turn insert. And tomorrow I will mark the sample firewall for cutting out the space for the header and pipe. After marking I will update the CNC cutting files.
