Now take 4 bolts for mounting the engine and use security rings under the bolts !
Take the spinner backplate and the little insert ring from Tru Turn.
But first mount the enclosed 0,6mm thin plywood ring to put between the fuselage and spinnerbackplate.
Mount the spinner backplate and use the ring and nut.

Now tape the spinner backplate and the 0,6mm thin plywood spacer tight to the fuselage with tape:

Now it is important to set the engine straight at 90 degrees in the fuselage !! Keep it secure in that place and apply some ZAP green drops on the firewall sides where it touches the fuselage. Be carefull and do not use to much ZAP green.
Let the ZAP dry and do not use accelerator because you will get a mark on the fuselage because the glue shrimps and pull the fuselage at that part inside. (Ignoring builders can use a filler for reparing the damage but before using a filler sand the fuse with 150 gritt.)
When the ZAP is dry use UHU plus on the back of the firewall and put away the fuselage let it stand straight up with the nose down and secure the fuse with tape to your working bench, do not use the dinner table because it has to dry 24 hours !!.
A day later take the fuselage and remove the engine and glue the front of the firewall with UHU plus.
Again let it dry for 24 hours with the nose up and secure the fuse with masking tape.
When dry apply some epoxy on the firewall ( on both sides but not in one day) to protect it against fuel.

Now I have to do the job again because I have used the fuselage out off the old mold. Tomorrow I will use the new fuselage.
First I will wax the mold and PVA for making a new fuselage for Robert.

I have noticed that it is better to mount the Sullivan cable in the firewall before glueing the firewall. Later it is difficult to get the cable in the small hole or drill the whole a little bigger. I have made a new template and made a new cut out in the fuse for the engine.
I have cleaned the fuse on the inside with water to remove all dust. So tomorrow I can glue the firewall.
Sorry Nick no kit first is Robert. The mold has been waxed an one layer of PVA. So a new fuse can be made.

I am not lazy but my body can not follow my mind. I hate to tell it but the production will be slower. I will continue making models but have to listen to the pain signals. I think you can understand and I am sorry that I have to work a little slower.

Look,

You are going at a pace that shames most of us completely. If this is slow, fast must really be something to watch! Take care of yourself first, no model is worth wrecking your body for. If people complain about that, then you really don't want them as customers and I would hope they find a different hobby so they don't bother the rest of us with their attitude. After all, we are only talking about toy airplanes here.

Now I am mounting the firewall in the newest fuselage. All fits well so I can start glueing the plywood to the fuse.

Has anybody experience with an upside down engine that you need rudder ?
I prefer to build a model without rudder. If necessary I will build a working rudder.
Please advise.

I prefer a rudder on all of my racing aircraft.

Absolutely essential on the QM40 aircraft. Without it the plane will simply make a hard left when released for launch. Same goes for the Q-500 aircraft.. that v-tail mixing helps a ton.

The take-off torque demands right rudder if one plans for the aircraft to travel in a straight line as the plane climbs out and gathers speed.

OK, then I will make a rudder.
I do not want troubles with the first flight.
Thank you.
So that will be the next job after glueing the firewall.
