hi,
I am currently building a DA50 Powered 78" wingspan composite arf extra. I am using 6 Hitec Digital servos Model HS 5645MG.

I am also using a Spektrum AR9000 Reciever, as i understand that the spektrum gear is voltage sensitive, i plan to use 2 Thunder power 2cell 2100 mah lipo packs through 2 regulators and 2 switches into the 2 battery ports in the reciver.
However i saw your Sport regulator & the Super regulator. considering my setup what should i do,

1) Run 2 seperate regulators & switches

OR

2) Run both the lipo packs through 2 heavy duty slide switches through the dual regulators mentioned above. And if so. then considering my setup, which of the 2 regulators would you recommend.

Please advise.

Hi Ravi,
The SportReg and SuperReg are not "dual regulators". They support dual batteries but are a single regulator. Your choices are really personal choices on how you feel about redundancy. We feel battery redundancy is most important because we feel a regulator should be very reliable, as much so as your receiver. Some people want the extra insurance of two regulators. The down side to this is that the batteries on each regulator will go down different amounts, regulators do not share current equally when they are connected together. If you want to run one of our dual-battery regulators then for your size plane I would recommend the SportReg.

however have you had any cases of a regulator go bad, also i know it is a personal choice, but what would you Do?

Hi Ravi,
If you are worried about that then you should run two regulators.
