Today I went out with my recently rebuilt super stick and the plane was tail heavy and was flairing nose up the whole time and on landing aproach I lost orientation due to another flair and tried to put the nose with the belly facing me went in at about 100' feet and around quarter throtle.

Then last weekend the firewall ripped off my superstar 20 on the landing.but as long as the fuse isnt oil soaked I will fix the and also make it a tail dragger using the hardware from the stick. oh well **** happens

I have two more pains in the hanger that I am dying to maiden but I am a little bit worried right now.

I share your pain. My last 3 hours of stick time has resulted in 3! crashes, 2 beyond repair. 2 of the three were mechanical failure in the air. I nearly start to hyper ventilate when I get within 1 mile of our flying field. I've built a low wing coroplast airplane, that I'm hoping will break me out of this rut. In fact, I'd be out flying her right now, but the wind is howlin in north central Montana today. Damn wind. *shakes fist at sky*
my recently rebuilt super stick and the plane was tail heavy
don't mean to sound nasty 'cuz any crash stinks, but this doesn't sound like "bad luck".

I'm right there with ya. 2 weekends, two crashes. I hate having to rebuild all week. It makes getting my next plane done a bit hard.

Bad luck happens in threes. Slam your thumb in a door right now and get it over with.

You wrote: "I have two more pains in the hanger that I am dying to maiden but I am a little bit worried right now."

Two more "pains"? A Freudian slip is the underwear of the mind.

Dont' be scared about crashing. You are just delaying the inevitable- all planes at sometime or another crash or have an 'arrival'. Just do your best to avoid it. Also if its pilot error then you always learn from it too- you never make the same bad mistake x2.
