Well, I guess I'll be one of the last, since the thread is not closed yet. I am in the military, so I chose some military operations names. They could paint the truck red, white and blue or put stars and stripes on it. Kind of change from disasters to patriotic.

Desert Storm (still kind of stays with the disaster theme)
Enduring Freedom
Bushwhacker
Collateral Damage
Extreme Prejudice
Fearsome Transgression
Flying Mountain
Hopeless Endeavor
Maximum Casualty
Maximum Penetration
Organic Cannibal
Punitive Damages
Reality Check
Red Nerve
Robotic Allegiance
Severe Distortion
Shining Dignity
Silent Inferno
Staff Infection
Sudden Afterworld
Summer Assault
Urban Arch Enemy
Tsunami Endgame
Zero Tolerance

Yes, these are all real operation names. There are thousands of them.

To the young guys on here that do yard work, odds and ends and are helping the elderly, HOOOOOAH!! It helps build character, teaches responsibility, discipline and puts a few bucks in your pocket. Way to go Guys!

Agreed.

Give me until Monday or Tuesday to clean up the list a little bit as there are a few names that are slated for other models that we have coming this year or the name is used by someone else and we don't want to take the risk with it.

After I clean it up, I will let everyone know the next step on how this will work.

Good day to stop the names as I just got in my samples.

Update and more pics can be found here:

Sorry for the delay with this.

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit smoking. <-------those of you that get that line are old like me

Anywho, I should be caught up later tonight and will lay out the plan on this tomorrow.

My initial idea is to first just clean up the list a little bit. Get rid of the ones that we simply cannot use due to whatever reason.

Than let you all help us narrow it down a little further etc....

Lets get to round 2.

From the list we get, the staff at Redcat will evaluate them and make a final decision which we feel fits best with the new 1/5 scale product line and a winner will be chosen.

Darin has asked that I temporarily lock this thread. He should have a decision by next week, at which time I will unlock the thread.

Darin is still accepting PM's on this. Refer to the post above this one to see what has been suggested so far.

Thanks for understanding.

Ken

First of all, thank you to all that were part of this. We received over a hundred name choices and I received about 30 private messages voting on the narrowed down list.

It took longer than expected but through sleepless nights, internal polling of the Redcat staff. Long discussions with my kids, girlfriend and anyone else that would listen to my rambling, the name has been chosen.

The new name of the Redcat Racing 1/5 Scale vehicles from this day forward shall be known as.....................................

Truck Version - Rampage MT5 (Monster Truck 1/5 Scale)
Buggy Version - Rampage TT5 (Trophy Truck 1/5 Scale)

The winner of the contest is a4d2a0m and I will be contacting him soon.

This is also very cool.... http://youtube.com/watch?v=eBGIQ7ZuuiU

rampage isn't a bad name, normally vehicles that share same platform share names but different suffix.

Rampage XtremeBuggy maybe?
