I loss my nitroginity today!!!!!!!

Picked up a used Torando BB a few weeks ago, and have been cleaning it up and replacing/tuning a few things. Put in the steel clutchbell and Traxxas clutch spring. Replace the old and nasty shock fluid with 10K wt diff fluid ( as suggested by a forum member......works great!) Replaced motor mount screws with hex heads and lock washers (+ blue Loctite). Lastly, new fuel line and an OS A3 glow.

Took a little while to start it up, but once it was on, it stayed on. I've never even seen an actual nitro vehicle run live, and I had very little idea what to expect. But man, it was awesome! This thing was like a rocket compared to my electric Duratrax! I had to get into the habit of applying those brakes constantly, instead of just releasing the trigger, to slow down. Also had to get used to not having reverse.

It was a blast and I am hooked on Nitro......not sure yet if that's a good thing.

Plus, I got my tax done today and I'm getting back about 8Gs......yoohoo!!! Daddy's getting a monster truck! First, I was pretty set on the Savage X, but then I found a site that is selling the Avalanches for $295. I was thinking og getting the Savage and through the years slowly trick it out with all the cool aftermarket aluminum components. So, now I'm kinda torn between the truck I really like and the great price of the Avalanche. What to do, what to do.....

I know my wife thinks I need therapy for my rc habit. She thinks it`s weird to sit there and watch an engine break in and wait for the tank to empty I thought it was normal lol. But what do I know I`m an rc junky .

Hey congeats... i was the same way when i got my tornado bb... so... and put about a 30/70 mix of 10K dif fluid to 40 wtg Shock oil... the 10K by itself is too stif and it just bounces so use a blend and tweek it till you like so you get good shock but no bounce...

Hey, Ehroof you may not have touched the controller in the lat 4 days, but it doesn't count as sobriety if in the last 4 days you've been tuning or repairing anything RC

I'm not a junkie (as of yet), but so far I really enjoy the RUSH

Btw she wants to kill me because I told her I want a spectrum radio. She disagreed but I said I was ordering one anyway. Is there a forum for devorsed rc addicts.
