Status: offline 		could be one of the bolts that hold the clutch shoes on has come undun and rubing on the clutch bell..... can you push
the car freely with out the engine running ????

If you can't get it to idle slower than maybe a cheap fix would be to get an 8,000 rpm clutch spring.

Most people like these as an upgrade anyway. Keep us informed.

Status: offline 		It is hard to find a site that has an open discussion on the KM BAJA...this is refreshing.

I am thinking about getting one of these, I just can't justify $1000 for a HPI. How are they holding up? Some of the long time owners please chime in and give us some updates.

I don't suspect you clutch. But most likely your carburetor.

I'm enjoying mine. I have ran several tanks of gas through it already. There are some upgrades needed.

Status: offline 		Well I have had mine for awhile and not had any problems other than the usual which happens to the Gen Baja as well,
Replaced the following, because either damage or just up graded!
Bent rear shock shafts.
Clutch assy and 8000rpm spring
Clutch bell, and carrier
Ramtech front alloy shock tower
Phatdaddy rear shock brace
HD dogbones
replaced steering servo with Hitec HS-5745MG (awesome servo) and 13kg throttle/Brake servo
Outerwears pullstart & aircleaner filters

At the moment I have de-anodized all the alloy but not sure if going to re-anodize or polish everything.
I will be making a few more up grades while apart as well.
SS diff assy (nothing wrong with original diff)
SS front and rear shock shafts
OutLaw RC HD F&R springs
Zenoah 23cc engine
Dom Side pipe

The money you save on buying one of these gives you alot to play with to up grade, but I suggest just do what needs doing!

Status: offline 		Thanks, I have read just about everything I can find on them, US sites, UK sites, I even found some info in German on them...all say the same thing....execpt for the normal anti clone garbage. So I am going to order one before the end of day today. I am already looking at items like filters and a fail safe before it ever is started.

The radio seems to be the only true weak link in the line up, I have read that there is a new radio shipping with them, are these radios worth using?

Status: offline 		I sell these things in australia and the stock km baja radio offer better range then my spektrum dx2 or dx3it not bad and offers some better features the then stock hpi radio imo

Status: offline 		The stock radio is fine. But when I first put batteries in the tx, I noticed a gap between them, because they fit in there so tight, so I picked off these little tab things that hold the batteries in and I have not had a problem with it.


That might not make sense when you read it, but I mean that the springs that the batteries push against were compressed without even having all of the batteries in it yet. You'll see what I mean....I wonder if the horror stories about this radio gear is because of this.

25:1 5.12 oz of oil per gallon.
