I just received my pullstart and spur today.
About the spur:
There is a significant difference between the screws that were provided to me and the ones that came off the engine.
There is a HUGE difference as well in the quality. The one I received takes more force to pull than the KM one. I find this a plus.
Also on the side note I cannot get the bottom right screw in correctly. I have made sure it is even and level. I had troubles getting it out as well. Still unable to do it with just the screw alone.
All in all it fit perfectly just had to resize the screw holes in the pull start.

Spur is next. I will be sure to tell you what goes on with that.

Big rut-to:
I just found out that the stem that the spur goes on too is actually bent or something in it. While taking it apart I have found that the clutch gear actually broke in one of the stems that hold to the bell. So I have to get one of those so far. I'm scared to what else I'm going to find broken. Will take pictures.....

No warranty. The pull start screw not going in is definitely craftsmen ship. The bent part however, quality.... God damn the differential has to be the hardest thing to get to in this buggy......

Alright after pulling it apart and getting in there I got the shaft. Man the baja is the hardest to work on R/C I have ever worked on.... Anyway the drive gear shaft (connects the differential, brakes and the spur together) is pretty bent. I am guessing that the torque twisted it so badly it moved the spur causing the spur to strip. Will remind you I'm still using a completely stock buggy. So the engine did not move nor is the spur made of poor material. With this being said, I am scared to see what else in the drive train is weak once I upgrade to 29cc race ported head kit with DDM dominator pipe (In which I scored for 128 shipped: here).... I gurantee that if you buy a KM buggy and jump off something with at least 1 foot of air and land full throttle you will bend it. My next question is does this happen in the real bajas? It seems like a weak spot.....

In the picture it is on a level surface so you can see how much it is twisted.....

Here is the replacement:
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXNDK7&P=7

The pinion also is broken. I forgot to mention. I don't know if it broke off my little jump or if it has been like this. It could still have run.

tell me about it, it is probaly the hardest to take apart to get where you want to go to. it toke me 3 hrs to get to the purple, so i can re-paint. but definely they made a fine workman ship, i mean HPI not KM. you got a good deal, but i got a way better deal TGN Pipe for $115.00 shipped..beat that, any ways i bought more part front lower arms, rear lower arms and spur and pinion and a radio gear box..that KM radio gear box is junk..i cant fit my hitec 755mg in there..might have buy a kit for the engine....i havent run it yet..it raining all week..plus my Fg is alone with no body..more work for me. here a few pic of mine.

Update:
Filled differentials with 7k diff oil. It is a plastic case not the alloy. There was no oil in it. Just grease. With that being said it it does not come with 1k diff oil like the HPI.
