Nice vid, slow acceleration though...maybe since i normally only watch 26cc engine vids :)

like2race -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/2/2008 12:06 PM)

Great info on Baja clones
I have also seen one one DZY26cc engine is it an ok engine also . this was from another exporter .just makes you wonder who the real manufacturers are i dont know if king motors are the main manufacturers.

With the fuel mix etc i have a fsrcing 4wd 30cc and was informed to put 95octane mix 25:1 in as some of the regular petrol has ethenol in it and and may damage the rubbers in the carby
Any informed opinions on fuel??
Cheers

clubin -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/2/2008 12:59 PM)

like2race, here in Canada we have no choice but to run it. All fuel contains 5% ethanol in Canada. I have had no problems I have burnt about 2 gallons of 10% ethanol blended fuel in my FG.

like2race -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/2/2008 1:13 PM)

Thanks for your reply maybe its the chinese engines not saying the ethenol is a confirmed problem just what was relayed to me

It it better to run a higher octane petrol mix???
cheers

I'm going to see if I can go out today. I need to pick up a sparkplug from a local powersports store because the other one snapped from the last jump.

krayziedxc -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/2/2008 9:36 PM)

my clutch pad is worn..its too thin..is anyone clutch pad worn?? my 26cc clutch pad is thicker than the stock.

I checked mine out today and it looked fine.

That spark plug wire is great. The stock (HPI not KM) spark cover will not fit though. It is big and bulk vs. the stock one. Also the pin from the axle flew out again so now I'm buying new ones. SO AXLE IS BAD!

Oh ****. I hope that doesn't happen to mine. But I do not think this is the KMB. As the engine failure is actually the same engine as a HPIB.

toors -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/4/2008 6:06 AM)

Has anyone purchase one from king motors directly and had it sent to Australia?

What was the price quoted?

Also, other users that purchase from other countries what did it cost you and where was it sent.. thinking of purchasing one but not sure what it will cost..

Thanks. [8D]

Yes one wheel does go faster than the other. I will see if it is the dog bones. I believe it is the fact there is no oil in the differential. I put 7k in there. Haven't been able to really test it yet but it worked good with the badlands.

Thanks man, its going to save me money considering I needed half the stuff in there already. I'm going to take what I need and resell the rest. Hopefully almost break even. :P

yea ,i did also put some more diff. oil in there too. im not sure what is the problem

krayziedxc -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/4/2008 8:34 PM)

Ran my baja again at a local school , my run time was less than 10 mins and what happen my wheel broke , i use the break and it turn a corner and it flip and it broke. i also knowdest if you have a tgn pipe cut off the silencer and it will give you more power, these wheels might be crappy.

Except with all vehicles 1/32 scale to 1:1 scale

Got to play today:
Made my own dogbone looking things. Was playing around in small area. Hit a curb. Broke the shock tower and stripped the steering mechanism (screw that goes in to inlet easy fix with piece of shim). Still runs but its just a little shakey.

My Engine has been cutting out. Could this be due to my radio batteries almost dead?

Try to reset the needles. Left: 1 1/4 turns Right: 1 1/2

krayziedxc -> RE: King Motors Baja Review with pictures (5/5/2008 2:45 AM)

nothing wrong with the battery..the problem is probaly the crappy carb. i replace it and ran very good.but first try reseting your needles

Has a crappy carburetor huh? Didn't notice that. Well I was having problems with the clutch as it was pretty bad. All I did was flip it. The acceleration was amazing. The most recommended tip is to flip that clutch. It is a very very very noticeable mod. Do it!
