I put a Jett Q-40 (older styl) not the new long stroke on a GP Vipper. At this time I have a APC Carbin 7.4x8 on it (have not flone it yet) I was just wondering what you guys thought I should use. Not planing on racing her just put it together for some fun.

The 7.4x8 is most likely too heavy of pitch to get it going.

Try the 7.4x7.5 and get the RPM up.

I think Highplanes is right. It looks a little to little for a Viper. I beleave a 8x8 or 8x7 would look more at home on this bird.

Then you need a different engine. A few people tried Q40 engines on Q500's around 1994-95, but they were slower than Q500 engines because of the prop.

I broke in my first Nelson Q40 engine on a quickie. It went pretty well with a 8 3/4 x 6 1/2 Rev-Up cut down to 8" diameter. You might get a 7 pitch to work. But at best, it would be down from a quickie timed engine and prop combination by about 10 mph. If there is a shim under the sleeve, removing it and adding shims to the head will help slightly.
