Status: offline 		I just pulled the trigger on a battery
I bought an 2300 ma A123 pack and Cell Pro charger from Sin City Jets for this plane. It weighs in under 6 oz. and will give me plenty of juice for at least 4-5 flights with the digital servos.

Status: offline 		What does the inside look like? Is it a pull pull? Are there servo trays? Does the canopy have a latch? Sorry for all the questions...

The Yak is a pull-pull and has exit tubes installed for the cables. There is a servo tray installed for the rudder and the elevator servos are in the tail of course and it comes with a throttle servo tray that can be mounted at the builders pleasure depending on the engine you are installing. This gives you plenty of options for a short throttle linkage. No latch, it has 2 small bolts to keep the canopy closed. It is build very light. Here are a couple of plane of the inside. Everything was lazer cut. If you are on the fence about getting the plane it is well worth the money. For under $300.00 at your door the quality is outstanding.

Would someone who has this plane measure the diameter of the cowl please?

Status: offline 		I would do it for you but am at my wifes home for a couple of days. I can tell you that it is within 1/2" of the diameter of the EF yak and that the 26cc should fit inside nicely.

Status: offline 		Yes, the block looks pretty solid, it has heavy tri-stock already installed. If you goto TBM website they have video on the 67" Yak with a gasser in it. I would plan on an all up weight of 13-14lbs with the gasser. I will give you some exact cowl measurements on Tuesday when I get home.

The cowl diameter is 8 1/2" and the length is 10" although when attached I would use 9 1/2" of from the firewall.

I got the tail wheel and main gear on today. Nothing tricky and I have to say the spats are very, very nice!! As always I thread locked all bolts and the set screws on the tail wheel.

Status: offline 		Build is coming good but slow... Living between 2 houses and trying to take care of both of them and that "work" thing really get in the way. I am debating now whether to put a pump on the 1.60... I will have it ready to fly when the snow melts up here though.

Status: offline 		I was reading a long thread on the 1.60 and it seems that with the pitts style muffler the pump assures good fuel delivery and allows you to really turn in the needle valve and it seems to give a more fuel efficient, reliable run from idle to full throttle. The plane is very good so far but the hardware is not as good as the EF Yak. The spats and cowl on the Magic hand are better than the EF. Build quality is about equal other than the above.

Status: offline 		Thanks Jeff, Glad to know there are only hardware issues so far. I checked out that link, man that is so old they were talking about my old H9 Edge. 2002. Still looked like reasonable info. I do know that the pump will give you a nice steady supply of fuel. Where is the down side to that? Anyway, keep up the good work. We can't wait for the maiden video!!
