Marc's planning to come, but Nathan can't make it.

I think Hank might make an appearance too

I'll be there and wearing my RCU polo shirt also. If you see any of us wandering around aimlessly, say Hi. These guys really are good people.
Feel free to buy any of us dinner at Tony Packo's. We all seem to have a weakness for their deep-fried pickles.

See you guys on Saturday! I have gone every year since I started going, it basicaly signals the start of the flying season for me. I remember that the first year I went we had four or five inches of snow and it was stilll coming down when we started out to go there. Even watched some idiot spin out in front of me due to driving too fast. Not sure what he did but after he passed me and had got a ways ahead, I saw the dance of taillights, headlights, taillights, headlights, Etc.. Somehow he didn't end up in the ditch, but seemed to decide that he'd had enough, as the car went back the way it had came. And when we came home it was 45 degrees and the snow was gone.

Once again, I'll be making the 9 hour trek up to Toledo. I hope all that snow has melted by then!

This year I'll be bringing my assistant test pilot, Rick Cawley, plus some guy from Alabama and his wife.

He has something to do with some magazine or something.

I'll miss all you guys this year. Seems you can't get there from here without 3 plane changes and a couple of 3 hour layovers. Last year left here at 06:15 finally landed in Toledo at 4:45. Then had the pleasure of getting fleeced $50 for a ride in from the airport. Some system they have there, no hotel shuttles, just the monopoly that gets antsy when you want to share the ride with someone equally unfortunate. I'll be anxiously awaiting for the reports.

Darkbird, I remember that year. I rode down with a van full of people, my brother-in-law, his brother and some of our kids. White-out conditions with the wind sliding the van around. We were nuts for doing it!

This is my first time flying there. I usually drive for 14 hours!

But this year, no one is coming with me, so I ain't makin' that drive alone - I hate having ME for company!

Hey Ron how the heck don't I know you? Do you stop by Hobby-Sports much? I'm headed to Toledo as well. My Dad and I will make the yearly trek, I remember being just 8 yrs old and seeing the biggest B-29 hanging from the ceiling, now just 25 yrs later I still get so excited about going BTW take your kid... he may hate it now but remember it for ever

Probably. I used to race trucks there many years ago before I got into boats.
Eric makes the trip with me every year as I don't drive far by myself and I need a navigator at times.

Mike is coming solo this year so that the guys don't leer at his wife!

Free State Aeromodelers will be in attendance again! Woo Hoo!!!

Bout time you made the trip Andrew!

Too bad you're going to miss the great conversation on the trip up and back! Maybe next time.

One week and a wake-up! Man this is going to be the hardest week to get any work outta me!

-Jorden

Edit: Hey I just had a thought! Maybe I'll wear my helmet camera and get some video walking around at Toledo this year. That will be easier and safer than walking around carrying a camcorder as sometimes the aisles are so packed, you get bumped and jostled quite a bit. I'd hate to drop the camcorder.

Hey Andrew, why don't you vecrow your FlyCam to a baseball hat and get video too! That way i won't look like the only Uber Geek at the show!

Of course you bring a kid with you! My wife and daughter almost always come with me and I've brought my neice and two different nephews in past years. I mean, ya gotta have someone to run all those goodies back to the van or you'll lose your spot and be lost when you come back!
