Ken,

FYI : On Sat.'s Mancy's only accept reservations for party of six or more.

And they 'know all about the Weak Signal's Show.'

Mancy's is good.

Been going to the Toledo show since it was at the old sport auditorium. Been going to Toledo since AMC owned the Jeep plants there. Go regularly to Mud Hen Games - I adopted them when they moved to the new 5/3 digs. Gave up baseball when the Braves moved out of Milwaukee.

My first choice for eats when going in Toledo is Tony Packo's on Front street. I just had a $30.00 steak at Land and Cattle Steak house in Kileen Texas and would have rather had a stuffed cabbage at Packos. Finish dinner with an apple strudel with ice cream and maybe another beer. Or one of Sophia's meatball or sausage sandwiches at a Mudhen game - along with two large beers in a souveneir cup.

Just my $0.02 worth.

Rollingthunder, seeing how you sure know Toledo better than I do, I always seem to get myself lost rolling in from 80/90, the toll road. Any hot tips on getting to the show from there, like which exit is best to get off at?
I used to come in from I-94 then south on 23 but the highways up here and junk and insane closer to Detroit and Ypsilanti. Once I get in the area I'm cool.
Getting out can be a trip too. The old usual way out last year was all backed up from construction in the area.

Ron,

23 is still a work in progress, Dundee area is the pits. Parts of 94 aren't much better.
80/90, Ohio turnpike, is still your best bet from northwest.

If you're coming in turnpike, send me PM and I'll get you downtown no problem.

If driving I94-23, you're better off calling MDOT or WJR radio as road closures change often up there. (think Mich. primary election) )

The last couple of years I've found it a much nicer drive using the toll road. Not as much traffic and the roads really nice compared to playing dodge the potholes at 70 MPH. OK, so I do a little over 70!

Gino's is probably the finest pizza in the land. The original is at Central and Monroe, not too far from the show.

At least you were smart enough not to book a room at the SeaGate. After from what I saw about last years show, there were a lot of complaints about the rooms there. Everything from elevator problems, low water pressure, dirty rooms and a staff who couldn't care less if you stayed there or not.

Two years running now I've heard complaints about the SeaGate hotel. So I definitely won't stay there. Mike and I stay at the Riverfront (formerly the Wyndom) 3 blocks down the street. It's a really nice place and the rates are very reasonable. They run a special for the Toledo Show. I know that the Seagate hotel counts on a lot of the vendors staying there so that they have easy access from their room to the show floor.
