the axle pin locking collar came off with a large pair of pliers. I may have to use a grub screw to keep it on. I did have to tap it back on with a hammer. It does self right and runs better with the top heavy driver off. The suspension is too stiff, the steering is sloppy, and it is too slow to run on grass. If you get a running start from cement to grass, as long as it is smooth it does ok until it hits a bump and the steering goes off kilter. With a more locked steering (servo based) that would help but it needs more speed than the stock will give for better off roading. Is it worth the 18 i paid on ebay new, yes. I bought 2. One for parts/experiment bike, the other for my kids to play with. As far as comparison to Ricky, i have not had one but from vids i see of it, i think the ricky bike does better and has a bit of potential also. But parts are non existent for it where with the sparc they are cheap enough to buy more than one to solve that. I have more info and pictures of this bike torn down on http://forums.thetoyz.com/index.php?showtopic=3673
