I appreciate that you are looking at this thread about concerns on privacy, but also keep in mind the safety of your uses. This information needs to be disseminated to all users so this guy can’t rip off anyone else. This information is also needed by the previous victims so they can pass it on to their local law enforcement in order to prosecute this loser.

Or maybe consider banning him.

After they have reviewed it they will let me know the disposition of this thread, and information. My editing out any private information is only to protect RCU until the Administrators can review this thread.

Status: offline 		That is always going to be a problem on the inter-net and here as well on the forum.A lot of guys want to stay anonymous and use a madeup name which is fine but makes keeping track of an undesireable person kind of tuff.Even here on the forum I actually think there are a few members using different names here yet in reality are the same person.I think RCU does register each member name to a specific computer,but a lot of people have more than one active computer in their homes.That is one of the problems you have to deal with when you buy stuff on-line versses walking into a shop or store to buy something.I can say I'm anybody and live anywhere,and how could you tell the difference.Just because someone is a member here don't mean they will not try to scame you.
I had trouble back when I first joined RCU in the airplane section when I bought 2 MIG airplanes from a member in florida,sent him a money order and paid for the planes in good faith alone.Took over two months to get the planes,his misstake was he tryed to screw the wrong guy.It was only two hundred and fifty dollars but thats a lot of money to me.After a month passed and a lot of empty prommisses I went to work finding out about this guy.In a day and a half,I had a picture of his house,his full name,his wifes name,how much he paid for his home,who had his home financed,what credit uninon he belonged to,his age,his wifes age,his neighbores names and addresses and phone numbers on both side of his home,how much taxes he paid and even more I cdould list.
I called him and told him what I knew about him at this point, and told him by the next day I would know what side of the bed he slept on.I give him three days to send me a tracking numer for conformation of my planes being shipped,I had them the following week. BIGMIG

Thank you for the action taken Ken, for doing the right thing, and after deleting my previous posts with basically the same content as this latest post.

The person of interest tried to sell me a "to good to be true King Tiger", but could not provided photos of the model, and after almost 60 days of excuses to me, via email and phone calls.

It was quite apparent he was (is) a con man and not a very good one at that. Laughable at best. How he has had any past success is beyond me.

Again, thank you all at RC Universe for having some huevos.

I am the original poster of the content in the thread that The Stuff posted up, and I am partially responsible for some of the mess that was created, so I would like to apologize to the admins here since they now have to 'sweep out the aisles'.

Please be aware of the fact that most of the links are broken in the 'THREADS' section of the first post, because of the way copy/paste broke the longer URLs.

I will not post the original source out of respect for the moderation process that ensues on here, my point of posting in this thread was to address the broken URLs, as well as expressing my apologies for adding to their workload.

This is sad and troubling, and I had those same concerns about opening a business where I have customers from the forum or online! That is one reason that I try to make it to all the west coast battles and meet people in person! I want them to be able to see my product, see my workmanship, and see my passion for this hobby! If someone is out there scamming this is the best way to stop it, it should be reported and obviously this has gone on for sometime! Not all dirty laundry or disputes should be handles on the forum but this is out right stealing! I think like any other service get references if someone keeps changing their name, then they don't have very many references!

No problem.

This is the King Tiger image emailed to me, by Ken.

About a month or so ago.

He wanted 500 dollars for the tank, but could offer no images of it, past this cell phone image.

I asked him to send me 360 degree walk around KT photos and turret/deck off photos too.

For about 60 days, only excuses, pressure emails and friendly phone calls followed, but no more photos.

He also claimed he built this model.

Importantly, he does claim to have 2 kids, a toddler and a 7 year old, I did hear children in the background during his phone calls to me.

Now, I wonder what type of dad he his and what type of citizens he is raising?

Anyway, I passed on his con and DID NOT send him any money. The dude was transparent in his game.

pcomm aka john ackerman....the KT was built ,painted ,(and bought by me) by ANDREW GREER,,,i made a few mods on it
SCALE 4X4 SITE,i was going to buy a custom built rc truck but pcomm backed out of the KT deal because i donot have a digi camera
all the other crap posted.....i did not cheat anyone and if i owed money,if was repaid or will be repayed....
oh i got laid off my job and was kicked out of house so life is not too good now.....

ok back to bashing on me....
