I was running this plane with the PBOX and it was ok. But I wanted to see what would happen if I put a pump on it , took the back off the box and did a couple other secret tricks hehe . I can say I’m extremely happy with the results MUHAhAHA . Here is a video of me with the YS 110 Warbird Guys at our field.

I didn't look where you live, but when I saw the smog on the horizon I was pretty sure. I flew into Orange County once, and was absolultely blown away when I saw real smog for the first time, not the Toronto variety I see in the south sometimes. Holy snappers.

Oh, the airplane - seems to be seriously lacking in power, you oughta upgrade the engine.. Good looking flying field.

Lessee - 20k on a 7" pitch prop generally results in some serious get-up-and-go in the air, so yeah, I''d say this oughta haul the mail..

This is what I like to see! I maidened a TF 60 sized P-51 with a YS-1.20 in her and let me tell you, it was an adventure! The guy (my brother) had glassed the entire airframe also so talk about wing-loading... LOL

Hauled the mail for sure...I really wanna do the Dago or Voo-Doo with a YS-1.10 also

Looks like you have a really fast Mustang there. The reason you see so many YS 1.10 powered mustangs is because in warbird racing, you have to have 735 Square inches of wing to use a 120 2 stroke. You only need 513 squares to run the YS 1.10. I''d love to see your bird run. Why not come to the Revver Bros meet at Rabbit Lake on the 26th? I''ll have all of my warbirds there.

Blessings, Terry

Yah that sucks. We are going to have warbird races in July, and a couple of my friends have 90 size 2 strokes but are still too big for the limit. The sound of a couple ys 110s in the air sounds preety sweet but im hooked on the sound of the Tuned pipe right now hehe. I would come down to Rabbit Lake but that looks like a preety long drive and the gas prices now are sky high [:''(]

I know all about the gas prices. I make that drive every day since I live in Victorville and work in Santa Monica. It costs me about $28 a day right now.
That is a lot of money just to get back and forth to work, but not a lot to go spend the day flying with the Brothers.

You can still race that 120, you just need to get a bigger plane.

Here is the chart we use for determining engine/wing area for RCPRO Warbird racing.

Yes that is Encino. Right now my plane is officially the fastest wm warbird at the field even ys 1.10s with 40% nitro cant hang hehe. And the 91ys heli sundowner 50. My rudder really broke off yesterday tho broke the fuse too. Anyone know what I can do to strengthen It and stop flutter.

check out this pic
Warbirds took over the field on thusday

Just an update I got my plane radared with a prospeed gun average 135 upwind 158 downwind was a slight dive downwind tho so that coudl be a little fudged. I couldnt get too many downwind because other people where flying the pattern. I love 2 strokes hehe
