The ASP XL 120 AR is competitive with the AX 120. It is cheap and when fitted with the GMS 120 muffler it is only 1 oz heavier than the AX. I know this because I own the ASP and "yallaair" owns the AX and we have compared them extensively (we are neigbours)
We get the exact same tach readings on all tested props.

I was also interested in the SK 130, but got the ASP 120 instead because my research reveled that the SK would be quite alot heavier.
I still want one though, just because I like to compare different engines

yallair, which brand did you use for the 16x6 and 17x6? JXF Black or APC?

Im getting ~8200 rpm max with MenZ 17x6 on my 120AX. OS F plug, 15% nitro, head shim and baffle in place, all stock. Incredible power + transition and It pulls like a joke!

Hi!
With the Volk 17x6, I get 8500 RPM peak RPM. For 3D flying and peak performance out of hover, I have to go 200-300 RPM rich on the ground. Haven't done any static thrust measurements.

I think that those are very respetable readings from a two stroke engine, I suppose that if I do not do any mod (Headshim and baffle) I should expect ~200 rpm less.

Which prop do you recomend to break in an OS 1.20 AX (I have just ordered from Tower) ?

I also ordered a 16 x 8 APC prop. that I am thinking to use with my CG Ultimate
