ok this one has a pullstart on it....any thoughts? I am buying a new engine for the Savvy and this is one of my options.

Does anybody else see an Axial 32 or a variant of the Hpi 4.6 here? The Sure Fire and the Axial 32 have been reported to be the same engine. They sure look the same to me, only my Axial 32 engines have green heads. They were cheaper that way. The same three needle carb, the same block fins, same head design, the Axial 28 and its twin sister the Hpi 4.6..... now you have the Axial 32's twin, the Sure Fire 32. BB

Status: offline 		It would have to be a huge increase in power to justify that additional coinage! I have two Axial 32s... one has been super, the other came with a leaky front bearing. We do not have to search very far to find guys with Axials and Hpi 4.6s that have leaky bearings. Not knocking them, I think it is a great engine for the money. Grab yourself one and report back to us! Save me some money....

LRP 28 or Picco P3 28, if you are a Tower member, free shipping and 30 or 40 bucks off once a month makes that Picco look pretty good at 159 or 169.... Understand though, you will need a pipe and header for the Picco, the Savage pipe does not do them justice. BB

Poor choice of words I'd say. You can say that the crank case is certainly identical, but not much beyond that. They are manufactured in the same plant as I understand, but you are correct that the 32R has a different setup. That's simply a more extensively ported sleeve and different piston.

How do I know this? I own a SureFire 32R ported by Rick Brake. Now I can say it's an absolute BRUTE that can also make some great top-end power. Now with the RBMods porting...holy friggin' moly!!

And BTW it was $150 for the SureFire. I wouldn't complain too much about that being a high price for goodness sake.

I'll have more info for you guys after several more tanks of break-in.

I'll be running a Tsais header and Dynamite 053 pipe.

Status: offline 		thanks guys...thats what I was looking for.....I have a chance to buy a new surefire .32 for 150 cash from a fellow RC'er in my neck of the woods...if it doesn't go through I will be looking at the picco a little closer although I wanna try and get away without having to buy a pipe and header...it is just a basher truck.

Axial 32 and Surefire 32 are 100% identical !!!! I have timed and modified both motors.... the 32R is just a touched up version....... I have seen pics of the 32R but i have not been able to time one yet......

I could have sent you my stocker had I known...it's been RB modded now so no luck on that.

No wonder the dyno curves look so close. Thanks for that info man.
