Nah man just taking a long time to break it in. Nothing worth talking about yet. I didn't even take it out of the box new...I mailed it straight to RB Mods.

Well I only have (2) Savages described slightly in my signature. They're never both running at the same time, but as soon as the SureFire is up and running they both will be. I'm thinking of also doing the LST2 upgrade on the S-25.

I needed a replacement for one of my Terrors and bought an Axial 28 as it was the recommended engine for the Terror. It did super, so I bought the first Axial 32 for my Savage while waiting on STS 30 parts the first time.

What a frustrating deal that STS has been. Just minor crap, but nothing available in parts, hurry up and wait... Anyway, that 32 has been outstanding. Anybody could have made that one run, bolted it in, fired it up, cycled it a few times and we were off to the park to play. Play we did, planted it on its lid and broke the engine plate, smoked a spur gear right away too. I did not catch on to the broken engine plate, so the next day when I ran it, nailed the throttle and smoked another spur gear. I hate to admit to ignorance, but it would take a third spur gear before I looked elsewhere, thinking I had the mesh wrong or something. I put the finned Hot Bodies heavy duty aluminum mount in and have never looked back. That truck just keeps ripping, I hope yours does too. It pulls good rpm, even though it seems a lot of folks say it will not and always had loads of torque. No leaks, no hassles, it would have made a great first engine replacement for somebody new. The second Axial 32 I bought, because the first one was so great.... slow learner here.... was hard to start, would not tune, had several air leaks, the worst being a front bearing that you could see light through from the back of the case.... It probably still has not been completely broken in, it runs great now and produces good power though... I have a Picco front bearing in it now, I run it as a spare when something else is down. I think it sees more mileage going on and coming off of trucks than anything else. Since then, I bought the Picco 28s and the party had just begun. The spare is in a box now, the STS 30 is in a box and I have a spare K 4.6 in a box. I have two new Picco 26s sitting here, okay, one says Orion on it.... along with several more Picco, Ofna Picco and Orion 26s on Tower Terrors or waiting on the shelf. I would not need to buy another big block engine for some time, but I will be getting a LRP soon and I want to try that new OS 28ZX as well..... anything to keep the checkbook at bay... BB

wow from reading all this on the .32 i guess maybe im a lil crazy . I'm runnin this beast in a duratrax raze with a 17 tooth clutch and stock spur and a jammin jp 2 pipe I 'm using the ofna adjustable motor mounts and the only problems i had was I whacked my brothers t maxx almost head on and tweaked the front to center diff dog bone im using about 5 grams of silly putty in the center diff and and 8k weight in the front and rear diffs . I was considering finding some truggy tires/rims but i dont think ill be able to turn it too well . also what does any one suggest using to "seal the engine epecially around the head button and coolong head ? how does one go about sealing the carb I think i have a small air leak in one of the screws . Again any info would be greatly appreciated . thanx all and happy bashing .

Permatex Ultra Black is the best thing I've found to date...you will agree the first time you use it. Find it at any parts house (AutoZone, O'Reilly) It's considered a gasket-maker and I've used it on cars for *YEARS* and never once had a leak. That stuff is great and matched the color of the motor. Don't use that nasty orange stuff man.

ok that sounds like a good fix is this compatible to use on any of the carberator screws ? also do you think that the .32 is too much motor for a 1/8th buggy like the raze ? so far i have had no problems with it and after the stock .27 blew itself i bought the racers edge simply for the fact that it was the only engine the lhs had that was rear exhaust and the price was right . I only paid 160 for the engine and the rotostart was included . thanx again

I've used the Ultra Black on the fuel inlet nipple, carb. base, inner backing plate, roto-start, and mid-range needle (covered it completely to keep it from backing out). Never a single issue and no leaks.

I run a cold plug with Byron's 30%. Either the OS R5 or McCoy MC-9...the McCoy is a tougher plug I've found.

Axial Cold 5 and 30 or 35 percent Trinity Monster Power, I cannot remember the last time I changed that plug. I am guessing that since I said that, the next time I run it, it will need a plug.

These are the plugs I'm using Axial Medium Cold #4 and SureFire # 4 med glow plug These plugs are identical. I also am running 30% BlueThunder though. Very pleased with the outcome.

it seems everyone is running 30%...I am planning on running 20% should I run a hot plug with 20%?

I'd say medium depending on your location and weather.

well I picked up the engine today and just about have all of the prep work done. I sealed the backplate but not the carb neck and pinchbolt yet....I am going to see if I get any leakage before sealing the carb...so just getting ready to drop it in and get it all set up to fire up tomorrow morning....Manual says 1 tank idle at factory settings...then 2 more tanks at short bursts of no more than 1/2 throttle...then tune for performance all with cool complete cooldowns in between.....sounds a little short to me..anybody else have any suggestions?

I use a mix of the heat-cycle method and regular method. I heat cycle the engine 3-4 times at 5 m
