Well I am thinking of picking up one of these T-specs for all the same reasons everyone else has considered it at one time or another. I have heard a whole bunch of bad about it regarding the durability ok the rear diff and other various drive train components. Is this thing just a piece of garbage or what? What nd of experiences have you guys had and what kind of reccomendations can you make. the one i'm thinking of buying is pretty cheap, less than 130 bucks including 3 nice battery packs, ovak GTS esc, hitec receiver a couple of extra motors and the car is in super shape. I only plan to have a little fun with it on my street and work parking lot no serious racing but i thought mabe down the road i might drop in a brushless system. So given everything i've said is this worth spending he money on?

I've heard nothing but bad things about those. Considering the durability issues t's not a car I'd suggest putting a brushless in, or buying for that matter.

I don't have one but if all your hearing is bad things about them you may be better off just getting something else. If your looking on the used market there are plenty of other cars out there with good reviews that should be in your price range.

Yeah I almost bought this T-spec off ebay. It was in great shape and had some descent electrics(Novak GTS esc a couple of new Orion Mod motors, 3 nice NiMH packs Hitec Reciever etc. I almost bought it just for the electrics but Decided to save a few more bucks and got for either a used XXX-S or TC4/5. I just think in the long run I'll be much happier even if it cost a few more bucks. These things are'nt much fun when they are broken. and if they are'nt fun, there's no reason to own them, Right? I hear good things about the XXX-S and the TC4 even in thier basic sport models there seems to be a lot of happy peeps out there.

Are you looking to bash or race? You can get a Tamiya TT01 or TB02 for pretty cheap these days brand new. The TT01 isn't the best racer but its a great basher. The TB02 would be comparable to a base TC4. I saw one online hobby store had them for about $70. This is very cheap even for a TB02(usually 100-125). These cars are also known to be durable and be able to handle atleast mild brushless setups.
