I still think were looking at two different shows rob...lol

Ok one show is at the international center and has all hobbys.. and is $12 admission with free parking.

the other is in missasuga on dundas street at bigboyswithcooltoys and is RC only and has the 70% off and bring a friend deal with free parking and free admission.

so do we go to both?

I say we do go to both. They are less than 20km apart. The question is which one to go to first and what time are we going to meet. I am open to any time on sunday. There should be plenty of areas to drive. I will bring my link and a laptop with the latest version of the software and two full packs. My truck will be squirreley, though, since I am holding off on buying outdrive cups just in case a blitz ESE is going for a good price at the show (I want to try the ball diff). I would love it if a good 550 motor was available for a good price.

I am guessing that the Big Boys show is a result of them not getting along with whats going on at the other show. It seems odd that they would host another show nearby at the same time - I guess the big boys with cool toys don't like to share?

I just bought an e-firestorm silver CF chassis, front shock tower and battery strap. Oddly they don't sell a CF rear shock tower. Its been on my mind for a while and I kept going back to their webpage and I just did the impulse buy.

Yeah, its looking good. Whats the truck in the background of the bottom photo. It looks like another storm?

I finally bent my banzai bar. Not the flat plate part, but the bar that holds the wheels.

I am surprised the titanium bent, though. What did you hit?

I don't think those HPI shafts are titanium...I think they are just steel with a titanium-nitride coating to resist scratches and reduce resistance.

Lunsford looks like the right choice for a truck that takes that kind of punishment!

Whats the best batteries you guys have used so far with a stock E-Firestorm. I'm really interested in getting one and would like to get a good battery or two for it right away. As far as battery life and power go...???

Are you getting the brushless flux or the brushed HT?

Lipo or nimh?

They bent when I ripped the tranny off....not sure how I managed that. rough landing I guess. I think you are right but, I really though they were Titanium...I should learn to read. lol

Took the MM 4600kv for a test run on 2s with 19/87 gearing, top end is the same as the novak 5000kv on 24/87 but it has alot more low end power. It seems to run nice but does cog a little sometimes on low end just for a second.

This thing should just scream on 3s

I'd be getting the Brushless Flux. What's the difference between the Lipo batteries and the NiMh batteries?

The diffrence is like driving a 4 clyinder (nimh) and driving a V8 (lipo)

The lipos are lighter, faster amd last longer

Well I assume theres only a certain amount of volts you can throw into a stock motor on the E-Firestorm right? On the HPI site, under option parts for the E-F, they got a 7.4v 4000mAh 20C battery listed and a 7.4v 5300mAh 30C battery listed. Could you go any higher than that with the stock motor, or would you have to start considering an engine upgrade?

Yes 2s is the limit on the 5700 flux, But that will get you to 42 mph on stock gears.
