Ok.......so i was working on one of the helis last nite and was using one of my CSRC 1250mAh lipos and somehow it ended up discharging the lipo down to about 5V total. I never realized it went so low as i thought my ESC had a cutoff at 9V for a 3 cell lipo. Is there any chance of bringing this one back to life? I have heard of guys charging thier lipos on a NiMH charger and slowly bringing the voltage back up to the 3V per cell.
I have a MRC 989 SuperBrain and do have the ability to charge it at a much lower rate (.10A) but with it set on lipo setting and 3 cell it won't even try. I am pretty sure the battery is toast but would like to at least see if i can revive it. I actually use that battery on my Slow Stick and it sits just under the stick and is visible and air cooled at all times.
it is not puffed or deformed in any way, so should I go ahead and see if i can revive it?

The pack will probably not perform like it did prior to the drain.. 5v on the pack is ~1.6v per cell.. A fully discharged lipo cell is 3.0v.. I'd say it's toast..

Also, this an an $18 pack... For the price versus involved, I'd just buy a new one..

Due to the risks involved, Common Sense RC does not advise reviving it..

You could do that..

Just make sure you don't throw it away charged...
