Actually, all Q500's with shoulder wings and V-tails look like Quik-V clones, so everybody can send their royalties to Jim Allen. Realistically it's almost impossible to come up with an original Q500 design. There are very few different shapes, nose/tail moments, ect, that haven't yet been used, so part of any given airplane is going to look like another. I've seen the Ninja, and while it resembles a Slingshot, I can't say it's a clone as I haven't compared the two side by side. Being that I didn't hear of Darrol Cady complaining about it in Phoenix (as he'd one with a lot to lose if it was, since he's the exclusive supplier of Slingshots), I'd say it's probably not. Right now I'm just glad to see another competitive airplane out racing. If it does nothing but reduce the wait time for people to get a new airplane, it's a benefit.
