I was rather surprised no one had done this.

Here is my attempt to do this on the Phase 3 EDF F-16

Twobobs makes some really great decals of some very unique paint schemes. They also research the stuff extensively and are able to access many times the actual airplanes for pictures. Here are images of the color diagrams from their website.

My Progress stage 1 1/8th scale

Very nice job........I'm hoping they do the same to the F-15's out there as well (similar to the Nellis agressor jets).

I'd really like to get a turbine F-15 with this scheme. It's something different! I had a few folks say it was hard to tell top from bottom as well as they lost it far away (remember this is a tiny foam EDF). I didn't have any trouble with the scheme though and my 1ft flybys over the runway looked sweet with that scheme in the Las Vegas Desert landscape background.

The Eileson pics are ok, but the link from above for the decals gives you exactly what you need......3 views! (where was that when I was painting). I have more pics but for some reason it shuts down RCU and my computer when I try to load them, though I can print them no problem. I'm going to have to resave them as something else I guess.

Give us some info on the model your building.

I've got about 10 flights on my Phase 3. Yes, its only a foamy but it looks so cool in the air with that scheme. Haven't met a person yet that didn't think it "different" in a good way.

Just realize that the scheme can be hard to tell top from bottom....especially when you roll alot. It blends in more than you would think.

It used to belong to User donniercjet. This is what it use to look like lot of rash on it. I Intend on bringing it out to vegas this fall. I was out at the field by the football stadium it was amazing! There was an electric jet event, and nellis had their airshow. I will post more pictures this week with progress

Are you converting to Turbine?

That field is the Bennett Field. Nice field, but I don't like the Marsh you fly over. Pain to get your plane out of there if you have a problem. I fly on the North side of time and we fly over the desert. Couple of jet guys at our field also. I won't be in Vegas after next month.......too bad for me, would loved to have seen this up close!

I can give you a complete history on that particular F-16. I bought it from a gentleman who lived in Sacramento, CA in Oct of 1991 while I was stationed at Mather, AFB. He never flew it because he found out he had a degenerative eye disease and had to sell it. Yes it most definitely had a lot of rash after I had flown it for almost 15 years. That airframe looked great in its younger days taking Best Ducted Fan at the July 1996 Lilac City Jet Rally at Spokane, WA; August 1997 People's Choice at Choteau, Montana jet meet (I put 13 flights on her on Sat, alone); August 1998 Pilot's Choice at Choteau, Montana jet meet and Best Scale Jet at the 2002 Central Oregon Jet rally. There have been a lot of exciting times with that bird. I flew it at a Pittsburg, CA event and lost the thrust tube one year which made for an exciting landing. It was always a dependable flyer. It probably had over 750 flights in those years which works out to be about 50 flights a year as I flew it at all the West Coast events in California, Oregon, Montana and Washington. I sold it to donniercjet in May of 2006 (still only have received half of the agreed upon price). It originally had the Byron fan and Rossi .81 in it when I first flew it. I upgraded to the OS .91 and then bought the Hurricane Fan set-up from Steve Korney in 1992. I remember replacing the OS .91 a couple of times and probably half a dozen sets of wheels over the years. It was a great jet to fly and I have a lot of fond memories of that F-16. I am glad to see it has a good home. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
