managed to test fit the motor and the pipe in the hull, the header i have is a 100% one not ideal but i think useable,my thinking is run it as in the pic then use a bend and exit out of the oposite non trip side, it clears under the pushrod route ok by about 1"so should be ok any thoughts anyone has please feel free to share . 100 degree header is NOT the way to go with these hulls....90 degree or side exhaust, thank you.

Well problem solved not that it was a real problem i see no reason a 100% header couldnt be used if you had to but anyway i now have a 90% on its way cheers Tony mines on its way to you in exchange.Bentley the fuel tank can go in a cpl of places one is just in front of the motor the other is in the side compartment just forward from the carb,i supose you could also use two small tanks one either side or an iv bag.I was planning on using a 20oz tank i have but its just a tad long as it has a bit that sticks out further than the rest of the tank ,i supose i could cut a hole in the bulkhead to accomodate it but i might look for a smaller one to fit in there.Choppy water whats stopping you building one?. In your opinion can you tell me why its not the way to go? as apart from how it looks i see no reason to be honest. My reason for considering the 100% header was availability and cost sometimes we have to use what we can to get the job done.Nice boat by the way how about some pics of your settup under the cowl ?. Mart: You will just run into problems with the rudder linkage and maybe the strut using the 100 degree.Other folks have stated that as well. You will be better off with the 90 you have arriving. All the hulls I saw in Orlando,at he winternats used the 90.It will give you a nice straight shot to the transom. Great looking build so far, keep it up!!

Hi mate no worries im now using a 90% header so onwards and upwards ,thanks for the compliments about the build. My exhaust will exit the side using an offcut off a stainless header and some heat proof silicone to join this to the silencer. What depth do you run your strut at it says 1/2" under the bottom with the strut all the way up in the bracket i asume thats so you can deepen it if required.Any pics of yours from the side and underneath so i get a good idea of the depth and the run of the tube under the hull?.I asume keep it parralell if possible from the stuffing tube exit to the strut. Heres a cpl of pics of how it will run,ive just spent some time glassing the seams on the sponsons inside and i had to cut a hole in the forward bulkhead to fit this tank, slides in just far enough to fit and not touch the deck sheets up front.I was going to use a tank in the side bay forward of the carb but decided against that, unfortunatley i removed some of the bulkhead there when trying to fit the other tank so ill need to cut some ply to replace that again before decking,no big deal.Kids are off for another week so might get quite a bit done this week, they got plenty of things to do to let me crack on hopefully.
