I mounted mine on the bottom of the fuse behind the firewall. (That location where those 3 round thingies are on an F4U-1. I haven't figured out what they were for, but this was convenient location to try and keep the plane "scale-like." I went ahead and got the onboard air pressure gauge and mounted it through the firewall, so I can be sure and check it when fueling and servicing the engine. I cut my cowl so that the top half of the center section is removable (for access to glow plug, carb, fueling, engine starting, etc.). It is reinforced and held in place with rare earth magnets for now, but I may go with a more positive latch system. Time will tell. I will also mount a remote fueling valve in the engine compartment.
