snoop -> Syma Fairy Heli (3/25/2008 11:51:33 PM)

I bought a syma fairy micro helicopter and finally figured out how to trim/fly it without crashing into the wall which took maybe 5-10 flights. Since my last flight I have noticed the guts are lose inside the plastic frame. I don't know if this is my problem or not but now when I power up the throttle and let her fly she spins around initially as usually and flys off to the left increasing speed until hitting the wall. I've twisted the rotor left and right to try to make it go forward or back but its as if there is more weight on the left side or something. Both rotors are free of hair spin properly just cant figure out now why nothing I do is working. It just flys off to the left into a wall no matter what I do. Also, if I do need to resecure the guts, I have no idea how to take the plastic off without destroying it. Any ideas?

Things I can think of:

Damage to the blades
Blades not level
CG off

You can try just adding a slight bit of modeling clay to the right side, to get it balanced.

The blades are good to go. I removed the canopy/cover and ended up destroying it in the process. I had planned to secure the battery as it was floating around.

I will buy another for my son who I had bought it for to begin with. I have a Honey Bee FP to play with now [;)] Need to practice on the sim for a bit first though.

Thanks again

Strip off the parts, and make another heli, or gyro, or something with it!
