I have been struggling through the settings of my T-REX 450SA with my recently acquired DX6i and I am having a terrible time with the rudder setup. The gyro (G500T) is coupled with a JR S8417 tail servo. All of the controls are set up and working properly, but the tail wag begins to get severe at about 50-55% throttle, just before lift off. If I input some rudder it will stop but once I get back on the throttle it may or may not start the shaking again. The gain is set as low as it can be on the gyro pot. I have also tried moving the servo linkage ball closer to center on the server horn. This also did nothing. The other thing that seems not right to me (but some have said it's normal in some posts) is that with everything powered up and at rest, the tail servo "buzzes" a bit and has a very slight twitching movement to it. The pitch does not change on the tail blades with this "buzz", but they are on the verge. I have got the gyro INH on the transmitter and actually if I try to set the gyro settings or rudder on the TX, the tail servo will not stay centered at all. I have tried everything recommended by many of the posts I've searched for but nothing seems to work. I have the gyro mounted in front under the battery. It should be OK there right??? This is obviously a "gain" issue, but what else can I do??? I've tried a slower non-digital server but it does the same thing. The NORM/HH switch does not stop the wag either. Is there something I'm missing??? Sorry for the long post but this is driving me nuts!!!!!!
PS....
It sure would be nice if Spektrum would provide some more detailed information in the DX6i instructions... maybe a DX6i Manual for Dummies!!!!

There is no gain pot on the gyro. There is a limit pot that should be set so that the tail pitch slider has full throw.

The end points or travel adjust on the channel that the aux wire is plugged into, usually GEAR adjust the gain, lower them to 50 and start there.
