Ive been in r/c for along time, pretty much the majority of my life but that was onland r/c such as 1/10, 1/8 racing truggys, buggys, monster trucks etc... I picked up myself a new JR XP6102 Transmitter with 4 new receivers. My question is what beginer heli would you reccomend that doesnt have counter rotating blades? I was looking at the Axe CP, Rotofly EX, Axe CPv3, HoneyBee, HoneyBee King 2... Im looking to spend around $200 or less.

You can probably get by with starting one thread. If you dont get any good answers in the beginner section let me know and we can move it here.

I suggest avoiding the helis that have a motor driven tail. But if you really want one I'll sell you my Blade CP+

The honey bee king 2 is very nice for the money. Since you already have the radio you can just buy a "bare bones" version of it + brushless motor (stock brushed motor is worthless), ESC, gyro and servos. I think you should be able to keep all that under 200 and it will fly much better than anything with a motor driven tail.

There's also the Belt CP which is similar to the HBK2 but a little bigger and will be more stable. With the bigger brushless motor + esc I'm not sure if you can keep it under 200 though but you can get the RTF version for right around 200 so I don't know, maybe it is doable.

Oh ya, and batteries, don't forget the batteries

I plan to go brushless with it and slap a nice 3s lipo in it right after I buy it. Ill need to learn how to control the power though.
