there is a slightly smaller ball connector, as i have a few in my pars box, though i'm not sure why the normal ones wont fit.

Anyone else's Pajero do wheelies . It has been crappy weather ever since I completed my Pajero. Seriously not a single day without snow, salt, rain, ice, etc. My appartment is very small, but that hasn't stopped me from climbing boxes, etc. with the Pajero every now and then. I have my Novak XBR 13.5 brushless system in it, and I can't believe the torque. The motor has a lot of torque, but the gearing in the Pajero is fairly low as well. I'm not really looking for super high performance, but the torque is fun. It will climb the steepest ramp I can make with only the lightest application of throttle. I'm sure the top speed won't be impressive, but I could care less about top speed. I can't wait to get this out on some rough terrain.

And yes, it does wheelies . Not exactly a scale performance attribute, but funny. I really wasn't looking (nor did I ever think it would) for it to do wheelies. I really just like the torque for easier slow, scale driving. However, maybe it's the child (or the motorhead) in me, but I get a stupid thrill knowing it can do wheelies, haha.

I tried fitting the shock ends to the normal ball connectors, they would snap in but it was a really tight fit. The binding might affect the suspension movement. I did have some spare shock ends that fit the ball connectors, but they were a little shorter than the stock ones. So I had to stick with the stock shock ends. Went to the hardware store and got some 1/8 x 3/4 stove bolts. Also used some Tamiya brass collars I had lying around. So far so good

Yeah, the only good thing about the XB is that the shell are painted by Tamiya... (I am usually lazy about painting them..!)

Just get the 1.9" crawler tires. The Tamiya air tires are always too hard. Good for wear but not so good for grip.

Those are the same tires that come with the M1025 Humvee. I had one before, and the tires were very hard. I eventually "upgraded" to Pajero tires

Pajero tires looks like is made from plastic, intead of rubber...just wanna ask if someone try to install the F350 on any 31mm wheels...then maybe some problems will be solved...

The F350 tires are actually harder than the Pajero tires. There are better 1.9 tires out there (rock crushers, rc4wd mud slingers, proline flat irons etc.) but they're all too big to fit the Pajero's wheel arches. You would need a massive body lift..

No, not true...the F350 tires are much softer than Pajero's...

actually the RC4WD 1.9 mudslingers, rock creepers, and prowlers are the same height as the F-350 hi-lift tires, and they will fit the pajero and the jeep just fine. most guys are putting longer shocks on the rear for more travel, and with that raising the rear, and adding a small spacer (1/4") under each front body mount, they clear just fine. the RC4WD rockcrushers, outcroppers, tomahawks, etc., and the losi rock claws are about a 1/4" taller than the F-350 tires, and the pro-line flat irons are the tallest of the bunch.first are 1.9 mud slingers, then 1.9 rock creepers, and losi rock claws.

I was just think that installing F350 tires onto 31mm wheels, make them a little more beefy...and reduce hights...like Wild Willy 2 use the same tires as LB, but on little bigger wheels

It was an awesome run indeed, drifting in the dirt is fun! Next time we should hit the trail, but first I have to figure out a way to keep the rear tires from slipping on the wheels without using CA glue. After yesterday's run, the tires were filled with sand, and it would be hard to drain them out if the tires were glued. By the way post some pics of your awesome custom aluminum modifications!
