Thanks Collector1! The high lift tires hook up pretty well on the rocks, with locked front and rear diffs I barely saw them slip. But they don't hook up well when climbing loose dirt and sand. Don't know how they compare with the stock tires as I put these on right after I completed my build

I think you should open it up and make sure you clean everything out.. a lot of time the clicking sound is from a sand that got stuck between the teeth... so look for them!

Yup I would try cleaning the gears and bearings inside the tranny. Use a toothbrush and soapy water to clean the gears. Don't forget to grease them when you reassemble everything.

Was able to work on the Pajero today. Replaced the sloppy lower trailing arms with aluminum ones from my CR-01. Upgraded the CR-01 to bent links, so I had these lying around Will tackle the upper arms next...

Hi,
I have one too, mine is the first version which i bought it in 1993. I have recently bought a new body kit (the original one is pretty much destroyed) and convert it into the low ride conversion set. It has full ball bearings, ESC, RS540 motor, lock diff.
Pajero are very strong cars. Mine is around 15 years old and runs perfectly.

My 'Jero.

Fifty-Five/XL5/"Wolfpack" 3000MAh.
Full bearings.
Full hex hardware.
Associated buggy front shocks on the rear, waiting for the fronts to come on. Apparently Tower only had 1 set. Got the AE springs up front tho.
Waiting on some Trail Docs.

Paint was actually a "prototype" and color-testing for this:

When my 10th scale H3 gets here.

Got mine very wet the other day, so I decided to take it apart and clean it before any bearings seized. Took the receiver out of its balloon only to find that it was quite wet - ooops. Decided to get a plastic box to fit the receiver in to avoid this trouble in future - see the photos for how I fitted it. Also fitted my old Demon triple 17 turn motor to see how it goes - will find out tomorrow...

Get some waterproof grease and put it on all the threads of the screws that go into the case and around the opening of the case

Thanks, I will, or at least make a gasket of some sort and find a suitable grommet to seal around the wires. I am actually going to redrill the holes in the base as it needs to go back a bit to be more solid (and I got them in slightly the wrong place to start with). At the moment it's warm and sunny here, so there's no rush...

Well, the Demon motor has noticeably less torque so there's less wheelspin and less acceleration from standstill, but it is noticeably faster at the top end. Almost too fast for the chassis really. On loose surfaces, makes it more entertaining as it is easier to drift and spin. Motor does get warmer than the silvercan.

Nice pics engineerjoe, and what a great place to run! I see your bodyshell is looking like it has seen some action, but then if you are running it fast, it does tip over more as I am finding with a modified motor in mine.

Have resited the receiver box that I added to make it more stable, as you can see from the pictures below, before first then after. You might also notice that despite not wanting to get it dirty again, it is...

Hey everyone, wow some awsome pics. I love the scale realism of this car.

Just wondering if anyone knows the part numbers for the stock wheels and tyres that come with the Pajero?

Any help greatly appreciated!
