Status: online 		You guys are forgetting that i live in Australia, so it will be more expensive to buy overseas...

I can get the ME16MT for about $200 AUSD, so thats not too bad. As for the ESC and motors...
I can get the The Dynamite Tazer 15T for $60 AUSD. Its alot, but ill have a shop around and see if i can get it cheaper.
IDK about the motor yet. Ill see if i can pick up a cheap second hand setup.

Any motors here good?

Actually... looking at those prices buying overseas might not be a bad idea... like i said tho, ill have a look for a second hand set up.

Status: online 		Man, those motor prices suck. The only one I would buy would be the Associated 17T and that's only if it were the only choice I had. A 17 turn will also push this truck very well. It will still be silly fast.
I have two Reedy's and a Orbital that are held on with a screw. I also have an epic that is soldered on. I think alot of them are held on with a screw.
Either way you should be able to pick up a soldering iron pretty cheap in your area. Soldering is very easy to do and you will have fun doing it.
I wonder how expensive it would be to have one of us buy it here for you and ship it to you. You could pay one of us through paypal to do it.

Status: online 		Since you can solder, there is nothing to it.
If you run in dirt, spray out the motor with nitro motor spray every few runs. Less often if you run on pavement. But definitely spray it out when you are rebuilding it. After spraying it out, replace the brushes, oil the bearings with some tritity or 3 in 1 oil. Then run the motor on about 3.5v for about 15min to seat the brushes to the commutator correctly. I use the motor break in function on my Duratrax Ice charger to take care of this. I also have a com lathe. It is a device where you take the motor apart, put the armature in a built in motor can that holds the com in place while it is spun by a slave motor and then you crank in the cutting tool very slow till the com is even again. Usually marking the com with a marker is a good idea so you know where you have cut and where you have not.

Sure that will work, just program a slight throttle curve in the esc so you don't start breaking stuff in the drive train. Or if that esc is not programmable by pc like Mamba is, then you might want to train yourself to pull on the trigger slightly slow.

Still waiting on parts. Should be here today, (crossing fingers)

I bought some 2.8" Stampede wheels for my ME16. They are going to look very nice but there is a slight problem. The back wheels are rubbing the chasis. Does anyone know of an axle stub extension for something that might fit the ME16? It uses a dog bone shaft. I am guessing if there was a axle stub extension for the RC10GT it might fit.
Or maybe some 12mm offset wheels.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Your the only one I know that owns a ME16 on the boards and all the "hardcore" MG guys seem to be gone.
How much is rubbing? Could your cut some material away?

Status: online 		IMO, stay away from large diam. wheels, all they do is put excess strain in your gears (not good when they are plastic!) and electronics, anything that is big enough to rub against anything are too big. Go with some Stadium Truck wheels(you will need 2 rears), they should be big enough for the ME16MT and there is a HUGE variety of tires and rims available!!!!!

Status: online 		I have found the solution. I had one old axle stub from a RC10Gt that I used to own and it is perfect. It is the same except that it is about 3/8" longer. It will allow the larger 2.8 wheels to work. I have also bought some new 2.2 wheels that make her look alot better. I will post some pics and stuff tomorrow of the new 2.2 wheels and tires. I will have to order some RC10 axle stubs and when those get here I will post some pics of it with the 2.8" wheels.
Come on guys, I need a partner. This is a great truck and honestly the best mini I have ever owned. and it comes with a pretty nice radio and for that price you can't beat it.

Status: online 		Here are some new 2.2 Imex wheels with Proline Gladiator tires and a body from a CEN Mini Madness that I have. I think it looks alot better with the new wheels. The body looks pretty cool, wish I could find another one to paint myself. I have also gotten used to the look of the stock body and I actually like pretty good now.

The way the body doesn't quit "cover" the chassis makes it look a lot like something from Wal-Mart (my opinon).
