Well I am soon to be a new owner of one of these little trucks. Hopefully I have as much fun as Wheelnut seems to be having.

Yeah a new ME16MT guy You are going to love it. I am currently putting a Spektrum receiver in mine so I can use my new radio with my new toy
I am also building a better ramp.
They are available cheap on E-bay. Prado Hobby Shop sells them for $165.00 plus $17.50 for shipping That is only $182.50 shipped

There are good deals out there on these and the MG16''s. I got mine for $125 shipped. BTW does anyone know if 1/10 bodies would fit on this?

What type of shocks did you get Wheelnut?

1/10 bodies do not fit. I got some 90mm silver aluminum shocks from an ad that thetoyz had on ebay. They really need to be 90mm not 100mm. You didn''t mention where you got your deal from.
Pictures coming soon (when I get the shocks and shock towers.

Every truck on this forum can be easy to break if you are not carefull. I have been bashing this truck for a while now and I only broke one front lower arm because I hit a cross tie at full throttle. It was no supprise to me that it broke. It is still the best mini made with the most potential.
Anyway moving on,
Here are my latest upgrades. silver aluminum shocks with adjustment nuts, and Spektrum Z590 servo. Spektrum DX3.0 radio. I like the short antenna. It could be shorter but I can't afford one of those receivers with the really short antenna right now. I also painted the TLT-1 body. I am certainly no pro but this is the best I could do with the time I had. The aluminum shock towers should be here tomorrow. I also need to get a servo saver for the new servo. The servo names are suspiciously similiar with JR servo's. The radio also looks just like one. Does anyone know if this is actually made by the same manufacture as JR??

Funny how things work, Wheelnut says best mini so far and easyrabbit says worst. I am sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. I am excited to get mine, oh and BTW I got it off ebay I suppose thats why the excellent price.

Does anyone know how long the included charger takes to charge the pack? I really need to get a charger.

Looks nice Wheelnut, you sure have taken no time in suping up that lil' montser.

Thanks sparky and razdawg,
The stock charger and battery are only good enough to get you started. They are in immediate need of upgrading. The stock charger probably takes like 1.5 to 3 hours to charge the battery. I would recommend getting something like the Duratrax Ice, Team checkpoint TC1030, Triton 2 or the duratrax intellipeak Twin Pulse Charger.
The Duratrax Twin Pulse charger really is the best bang for your buck. It is pretty cheap. And it will charge two battery packs up to 7 cells each at 3.5 amps each. It is very simple to use and does a good job. If you watch ebay you can pick up one pretty cheap. I picked up two off of ebay and they are great because my son and I both have E-Maxx's and that is alot of batteries to charge[)]

Razdawg, what vendor on ebay did you buy yours from?

The next upgrade will be steel turnbuckes. I am looking for the correct sizes if anyone knows where to point me, I would appreciate it. The front is 40mm and the rear is a 50mm.

I also wanted to say that I have had alot of mini's and they all needed upgrading. And If I got one one day that didn't need it, that would be no fun and I would try to upgrade it anyway. So why not get one like this at such a great price since you are going to put better stuff in it anyway?? Here are most of the mini's that I have had. There are one or two that has been left out. None of them has been as easy to upgrade as this ME16MT. With all the other mini's I had to spend alot of money on brushless motors and esc's and Lipo's. For the ME16MT all I had to do was to buy a fairly cheap 540 size motor (No mods needed) a fairly cheap brushed ESC, 1/10 scale wheels are a pleanty to choose from and the run time is great because of the large sub C battery pack. What more could you want?

I have a 10 year old Hobbico trickle charger somewhere out with my gold tub RC10's, heh heh heh but yes I need a charger.

The seller on ebay was just a person not a company or anything, think he/she just was getting rid of stuff. I would assume that the shocks of my Rustler would fit this right? Or any 1/10 scale shocks?

I really can't wait till this thing gets here so I can start messing around with it.
