Okay so now I installed my new 13,5T Brushless system yesterday and I didn't break anything while doing it

Indeed I have to be careful not to start too fast since I don't have a wheelie bar yet.
It runs nice and fast. But I'm not sure how much faster it is than before.
I hope my cousin will come by with his me16mt so when can compare the speed. And if I don't get my hands on a good vid cam I have to use my cell's camera I guess.

What I don't get:
The motor says: 13,5T brushless. Which would be like 23T brushed. So would that mean that a 12-14t brushed motor is a lot faster than a 13,5T brushless motor?

If you put in a brushless motor you should notice a HUGE difference without having a stock one to compare to.
We really need more information about that motor. It must be a 540 size motor otherwise it wouldn't fit with out a motor mount modification.
Find out from the seller what the kv rating is.

I will take a photo or make a scan of the packaging which should have all the information you guys need later today.

Don't know really, but a slow brushless will be slower than a fast brushless of course. It comes down to the power draw. You can't expect to be faster them a motor that converts more power into kinetic energy. If you have a 300 watt brushless motor that's 90% efficient (270W to kinetic) and go up against a 60% efficient 600 watt brushed motor (360W to kinetic) you will lose. Your motor will be more efficient, generate less heat, and can therefore last longer on the same battery, or even gear higher, but you're at it's limit.

LRP makes all the way down to 3.5 turns. Right now, you actually have a fairly weak 540 brushless motor - even though it's 540, it's only 200watts or so (at 7.2v). It's a GREAT motor for runtimes, and should be nippy enough at 3200kv (the lrp 13.5), but understand that high kv with low watts (and therefore low amps pulled) means less torque. if you pull that same kv at say 600W, your motor will be capable of a much bigger pinion. Experiment and determine what's best for you. Do note - lower kv/higher turn motors have somewhat more potential, since the motors can handle higher voltage. If you think it's slow, add volts via lithium or more cells if you can fit it. Beware of being limited by the ESC.

Ah okay, thanks for the explanaition.

My new motor has 88% efficieny and (only) 155W.

Just compared it to my cousins unmodified model. Top speed seems to be a bit higher. But acceleration is way better.

Tried to make a video with my cell, but the quality is so bad. You can't see a thing.

You should have better acceleration and slightly higher top end. That speedo should handle a far hotter motor, and the motors themselves aren't that expensive. You could have that thing doing 45 in no time

Just a thought, you might be able to pull a little taller gearing with that motor (particularly since it is a 540 size on a model smaller than 1/10). Make sure you monitor your motor temps, but maybe try upping the pinion a couple teeth and see how it does. You seem to have plenty of torque, maybe you could get a little more top speed out of it. If it makes your motor hot, or you loose too much low end it might not be worth it. But I think it would be worth a shot.

In general, how do you like that brushless setup? I was thinking about getting the lower turn (10.5 or 9.5) version of that same system but I don't know anybody who has any experience with it to tell me if it is any good. I just have used LRP products in the past and have been very happy with them.

I have settled on the MM system, for $20 more you cant realy go wrong, plus after talking to some people ive decided to go with the pay option from B-P-P, its $15 but ive heard that the pay option is VERY fast, especially compared to the free option.

What is the pay option? I thought surely you had to pay for it.
Be more descriptive so we can understand you.

He means to pay for shipping instead of using the standard free shipping. I know that BPP always ships my orders priority mail whether free or paid so I am not sure if there is a difference.

Thanks for clarifiying! yes i was comparing it to the free shipping option. Ive heard of people waiting up to 6 months for their items, and others getting theirs within a few weeks, its a gamble but i know for sure that the pay option will be on your door within 2 if not 1 week!

I think that the people that wait for 6 months are the people that order the Wraith motor. It is a 24mm 300 watt motor that has closed end bells for RC Cars (as opposed to the motors with the holes in them). He can't seem to keep them in stock.
I ordered from him twice and used free shipping both times and both times it was at my door in less than a week. I am sure though that people that pay for shipping do get priority over the people who don't.

YAY! I JUST ordered the Mamba Max 5700 system! Im hoping it will take no longer than a week to get here, even with the $15 shipping it still came under $200AUD.
I CANT WAIT, ITS KILLING ME! and its only been 5 mins...

There is bad news however, one, i ordered four E-flite bearings only to find i needed eight... Someone else told me i needed four, it wasn't my fault! and second, im going away on a cruise ship on the Thursday next week, so hopefully ill have at least one day to put it all together and give it a run. I havnt run it lately because i think the stock electrics have buggered up because when i run it, it will run well for 30 seconds then run realy sluggish, like the battery is flat. It isnt though... No need to worry though, with my MM on the way

Sweet, I hope you get to test it before your vacation.
I am thinking about ordering an 8T motor for mine. The 12T motor is great but I would like a little more.
