Status: offline 		i have a ZDZ-80 RV that i'm running 40:1 synthetic oil and premium high oct gas that has about 10 gallons thru it. the engine runs like a champ but can't seem to get the settings exactly where i want them. in low/mid throttle whenever i back off the throttle it "hiccups" slightly....not really a backfire, but almost like it missfires slightly. it would be hardly noticable in sport flight, but in high alpha and hovering it's unnerving. throttle response from idle to high is good, but not instant....is it a low end setting or does it sound like something else is going on there? also, the engine sags considerably in inverted flight. can't seem to figure that one out either.

Status: offline 		I have the same engine. Get the Walbro WJ-71 carb from RCSHOWCASE and be done with it. The carb you have is the WJ-38 I am guessing. I had that carb and had issue after issue. I guess that is why Walbro discontinued it.

Once I replaced it, all was well. Make sure your timing is correct also. If the engine is popping or misfiring, your timing might be off a bit. Hope this helps.
