Is there a way on my ECU to check fuel consumption setting? I don't have the experience yet to compare my fuel useage to others, but I would like to learn if it's possible to know via the ECU if my turbine is within proper fuel load use? Any parameter suggestions?

Also, I have to be in 70% throttle to start a roll on our rough grass and feel like my operational power is from 70%-100% where I have more than enough thrust but feel I should have more down low? One pilot described my throttle as "mushy". Can anyone tell me some parameters I can use with my ECU for the new Super Eagle? Changing the fuel curve won't benefit my fuel consumption question????? I have not changed anything from the factory after my first two "fast flying" flights. I hope to fly slower this weekend for better experience and comparison on fuel consumption as I become more comfortable with the slower flight characteristics.

Eric at Artes has been "superb" answering all my questions, but I feel I should give him a break. Chime in though if you see this!

Fly 200:

Fuel consumption cannot be monitored thru the ECU (I.C.S.) Great idea though. Super Eagle averages 14oz per minute. By average, we mean a flight which consists of WOT on take off as well as routine throttle management during the flight.

The Super Eagle I had in my Comp-ARF Flash utilizing both tanks (128oz) fuel gave me 8 - 9 minutes of flying time with reserve for landing. Again, throttle management.

I suggest you calculate your fuel load, start, taxi, take off, fly and land then measure what is left on board, minus the UAT or BFT. This will give you your average consumption based on your individual flight style. Then set your Tx timer giving a time margin for error on the approach to land segment of your flight.

From what you state, I urge you to "retrain the Tx and ECU" as detailed in the manual. Please reset throttle channel to factory default settings (no end point, curve or any adustment to this channel whatsoever) prior to performing this step. Set throttle curve in the ECU to "full expo" for best overall performance. When complete, switch off - then back on. Menu up to second screen and check the % in the upper right corner. You should see 00 at idle trim, about 25% at high idle trim and 100% at hight throttle trim (no gas and fuel off for this test) when confirmed, you are ready to fly.

I would not recommend you access and change any parameter other than the Max RPM (adjust down (see chart) or up to return to factory locked max rpm) Glow plug value or start gas value as the instructions in the manual detail.

Enjoy. . .
