I have heard of the Aurora, which was supposed to replace the SR-71 many times over the years. It is supposed to have a pulse jet engine in it. I have friends that work in the industry that talk about it and say it exists, even though it is not supposed to.

I have over the years while watching sattelites seen a light that is a bit brighter than a sattelite, and it pulses as it moves across the sky. It gets bright, then dissapears, then gets bright. It is very fast and I have seen it change directions, sometimes more than once. Sattelites don't blink so it can't be that. It is pretty cool.

Thought I would see what you all think or know on the subject.

it uses a scram jet and has been seen on numerous occasions, once over the u.k. mainland by a very knowledgable friend of mine who estimated it's speed at 3-3,500 mph.it also made an emergency landing at boscombe down here in the u.k. which resulted in the death of a crew member.the wreckage was guarded by the sas which is a pretty good deterrent!

If it did exist it would be highly classified so I doubt anyone that posts here knows much about it. However knowing that the airforce in its history has always has some form of secret advanced plane I have no doubts that they have some pretty cool secrect hardware out there.

Beg to differ.
It's who ya' know not what ya' know that define's what "I" know.
Careful on assumption's about us R/C flyer's.
All I can tell ya' is that "It" fly's very well!
But no one will be seeing "It" for a while yet.

I have to agree. I was sitting with a friend who designed the space shuttle one night talking to Mike Melville (space ship one), watching the vid of his initial test flights in it. One other time I was with an SR-71 pilot watching a vid that he put together of it just after it was declassified. Oh to get my hands on that SR-71 vid. Have the other. It is awesome! Its really a small world.

I have heard a bit on the Aurora, but thought I would ask. Its one plane that interests me. I was at FL410 one night in our jet and something went over us very high and very fast. The controllers wouldn't tell me what it was though. There are a lot of cool planes out there. Heck, we wouldn't have known about the F-117 for a long time if someone wouldn't have caught it on film in Panama. It was way strange when that one popped up.

Flyboy,
I will agree with ya'!
Use to set back and watch the satillite's pass over head just after sunset when the light would reflect off of the panel's.
You can tell the speed diff according to the orbit it was in.
Some fast, some slow.
But when you see a satillite that pulse's, Mmmmm, Uhhhhh, it's what we know it is.
Oh, to have the proper clearence.
That would be the only reason I would ever run for president!
Forget the politic's.
Show me the hardware and let me die a happy man!
I will be glad to watch any vid you have of some good flyin' stuff!

Just sat in the hot tub and watched again tonight. Clear and gorgeous out. Saw a few shooters, a lot of satellites, another Blinker and the space station and something following close that I hoped was the space shuttle but I just looked and it wasn't up so I don't know what that was. Was way cool though. You can tell the space station anywhere. Its huge. I can remember after my accident one night laying in the hospital, looking out the window I saw it go by and thought to myself, thats the space station, can't be anything else. Then a while later I saw it again. Was a long night, I couldn't sleep but I love watching that go over. Never get tired of seeing it.
