I just grabbed my DX7 that I purchased last summer to charge the transmitter and receiver. The paint or finish on the transmitter is blistering off the transmitter in a couple of very visable spots on the front of the radio. Anyone else discover this? I'm thinking its a finish problem by the manufacturer. The radio hasn't been subject to any unusualy heat or chemicals.

I have a DX7 from the first shipment in 2006. It has been flown regularly and short of wiping down no special care has been extended.
To date the finish remains just as it was when the box was opened.

Another post ----some time back---- had extensive paint peeling problems but that was traced to an ingredient in a particular type of sun screen used.
If memory serves me correctly that was an overseas location.

Contact Horizon directly----I think that is your best bet.

Hi Tim,

I have the same problem with my DX7. It's peeling over most of the TX. I don't use sun screen so it's not that...

Doesn't sound like a wide spread problem, but it sure is ugly.

I really haven't given it much thought Tim, I don't really want to be without it. How about you?
