One of my friends was looking for a 14MZ and found an ad by a user called "top3d" for a 14MZ and closed a deal, and immidiately paid with paypal.

The seller provided an invalid USPS tracking number, and when my friend opened a paypal dispute, the seller thretened to "ask USPS to return the package" so my friend closed the dispute (BAD judgement there since a closed dispute cant be reopened).

Anyway, as you would think, no package, no tracking, no money and no more communication from the seller !!

Here are the seller details he gave my friend:

I hear he's doing this on HeliFreak as well trying to sell a 14MZ or trade for a turbine helicopter.. can anyone help in tracking down this guy ??

Status: offline 		As your friend should have already found, this seller has been banned from RCUniverse because of reports such as this.

Your friend should contact the authorities in Puerto Rico with all of the information he has so they can locate the guy and bring him to justice.

Please note this is precisely why we recommend using Escrow.com whenever dealing with an unknown private party through the internet.

Status: offline 		just to let you know...I live between Puerto Rico and Miami because of my bussiness....I will try to HELP you.... I am an active seller on RCU and on Ebay....

I called the 2 phone #'s on the answering machine message and there is an answering machine that replies in spanish the phone #'s and asks to leave a message...

I left a message to call to my phone #... I did not identified myself, because Puerto Rico IS small and people in the HOBBY know me....

As soon as they or him answers, i'll try to pass as another person or issue and ask for his name...I will use the excuse of that I cannot hear him well so probably he will give a phone # which is a physical phone # from a place , house or bussiness... thus, we can track him....

But... both phone #'s are from a mobile #. because the answering machine is from a mobile company...

hopefully I will be able to help you....

I just read this and I'm thinking/worried this is the same person on RCGroups.com going by the username mrctattoo and that I may have been duped along with a number of others on May 25. I paid him via PayPal (using CC) on 5/25 and then after that I have not heard a thing about the JR 9303 2.4gHz radio being sent and so far no replies to my PM's (sent last night) or e-mail(s) (sent today) Another one of his buyer's PM'd me yesterday afternoon to ask if was having trouble getting info/replies. He has been on RCG doing transactions for a while (couple of years it appears) with no apparent/public issues on scamming that I could find. Maybe I'm jumping the gun too early here and need to give mrctattoo at RCGroups.com the benefit of the doubt.

BTW the name I sent money to on PayPal is Jorge M Martinez Torres and the e-mail account is: mike.556@live.com

File a report with your CC company IMEDIATELY.
