I posted more info about this over in the RC Combat fourm but this is my new design with a coro fuse and foam core wings.

Link to the other post: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_7298411/tm.htm

Here is a link to my web site with some build pics and a build article that I started: http://www.wichitapilot.com/page.php?pageid=26

Let me know what you think! It should be a good sport plane that is easy to fly and low maintenance.

I like it! Looks fast, maneuverable and strong. You wouldn't happen to be a Tomcat fan would ya?

Looking forward to the flight report!

SPAD skies,

DL

DL,
I've had that on my tool box for years. I wish I could find more that size. It's a giant sticker. The F-14 is a very cool plane, too bad the Navy got rid of them. I'm a fan of anything that can burn as much fuel in one flight as I will in a year!

The tail design of this one is a mix of F-18 and F-14. I guess I have a thing for the twin tail.

How does the Tomcat or Hornet sound for a name? I know, real original...

Seriously if you have any ideas for names....

She flew!

Details and video from the first flight:

http://www.wichitapilot.com/page.php?pageid=26

I''ve added some differential into the ailerons to counteract the drag. I think at first I actual had some reverse differential (more down than up) which made slow flight a little fun. The stall was gentile and it would recover with some throttle. I am also thinking of adding some more vertical tail area, but we''ll see how the next flight goes.

I''m hoping to get some more video with the video camera and not just the digital camera.

I think combat tomcat sounds really cool, that one''s in the lead right now for a name....

Chris

It's pretty much "Target" if there's another plane in the air with it...
