I use the bottom of my thumbs on top of the stick. A lot of people say to use the thumb and forefinger but I just can't get a good feel for this position. I have better control ( I think) using this method. Was just outside trying to hover the axe and tried it both ways.

How about you guys.

Don't fight it.
Just do what you do instinctively.
You don't need anymore distractions.

I use the tips of my thumbs, just like I have been for over 25 years of R/Cing.

Thumb and finger for heli's, thumbs only for planes. The finger helps "me fine" tune minute movements.
