I had my friend today drive my Caster ZX1-R and he has raced 8ight's, Mugens MBX5's, X-ray's and Kyosho WC777 and he told me after running a couple of tanks that it was on par with the WC777 in handling, jumping, turning and better at all those than the other's mentioned! Way underestimated buggy! All people have to is give this buggy a chance and drive it and they shall see the light!

I get mine back tomorrow night (it was done today but I did't get off work untill after the shop closed) and plan to begin tuning the engine and suspension this weekend if it doesn't rain. The weatherman says it's going to but they're almost always wrong so we'll see.

After a good rebuild and fun day last week Saturday i found a few tweeks and setups for the next club meet.
My ZX-1R Pro was bullet proof as usual just need to work on a good clutch setup since my Werks 4 shoe was slipping a bit.
Cobra was reliable and fast as usual.

So, do they have an electric class over there in South Africa or can you run an electric in the nitro 1/8 scale class? Just wondering how the locals over there will react to the Fusion...

Here are some pics of my ZX1-R with my new Go Tech .21 7-port! Hopefully will break it in tomorrow. If anyone needs one of these Go motors I got some in stock and just ordered more!

The 7-port is 209.99 and the 5-port is 199.99. I just broke in my 7-port and leaving the needles at the factory setting out of the box the thing HAULS!!! You break them in by richening up the high speed a turn and then after break in I put it back to factory and it will KILL my axial .28RR, and my OS .21 I just took out of the buggy! I cannot see any reason to use the 5-port. It has enough as is and my home track I have is tight with alot of 180 degree turns and not a long straightaway. I cannot imagine when I lean it out. It was running 175 degrees! The 5-port is cheaper by 10 bucks is the only benefit plus people usually put the 5-port in the truggies. Just sold a guy the .21 3-port for 179.99 if you want some SERIOUS TORQUE LOL! You can get the motors here.

Here is a easy mod I did to my Zx1-R to stop the steering rod ball ends from popping off when you land wrong and stuff. Here is what I used. 1 set of Traxxas rod ends that come with the ball ends PART #2742X, a longer bolt to go through them and reuse the stock nut form the original ball end. Also used a small nut to space up the ball end (the original ball end sits a little higher). You could use washer instead of the nut if you want to. ***NOTE*** I DID NOT USE THE TRAXXAS ROD END IN THE BAG. Believe me you guys want to do this. I had them pop off twice on me during a race before and it sucks!

PS the two bigger ball ends you see in the bag are the stock ones I forgot to take out so disregard them.

Just ran my ZX1-R with a my new Go tech .21 7-port today on the track for the first time today and WOW! The more I ran it throughout the day the more power it got and that was with the 7.5 carb restrictor in it too. I was using only a quarter throttle all day long with the my ZX1-R buggy and it was ripping! Temps were around 235-245 most of the day. Power delivery is very smooth the not abrupt. Still easy to drive like my Caster always is. Only flipped the buggy over about 3-4 times after running about 6 hours today at a local track. Also ran my K8T some too. Ran about a total of 3/4 of a gallon today!!

These buggys sound great and if as you say are up here with the best then they should sell well once word gets out there more.Hope we over here in the UK see them at some point, the Fusion also sounds cool too.As for you vnmsgt, selling the Go engines,in my opinion they are the best engine on the market for value, the quality really is up there with the Italian engines,I'm getting 2 Go.25 truggy engines and putting them in my GTX2 at some point.I already have the Go.21 3 port in my VRX-2 Pro buggy and it hauls ass, much faster than the Hyper 7.28 I had that was a Macstar 6 port and dont compare for speed.Great to hear of a new buggy and company getting ahead, seems the Losi and Mugen boys will have to look over their shoulder from now on....
