Hi Mike,I would buy a Caster ZX-1R is I was looking for a brand new buggy,I never stated I would'nt.The VRX-2 Pro I got was off ebay and the guy had bought it,broke in the engine and then got complaints of noise so went to electric. His loss my gain.I only paid £130 for it around $256.The problem with shipping items to the UK if its outside of the EU is the import duty. For any item over £48 there is additional tax to pay and would end up costing a lot more than you'd imagine,a forum member from MSUK paid £86 around $160 extra on top of shipping when he bought a Nemesis from CEN Direst store. What you need to do is approach CML or Ripmax UK and see if they'd be willing to distribute your products over here in the UK,I think with the quality and style of the ZX-1R,you'd have quite a following over here as the most popular and best selling buggy is the Hyper 7 which is'nt in the same league as your buggy....

The Casterracing vehicles are available in Europe but i am not sure in the UK.
Its marketed under the Protech brand as a Yada Pro and the RTR is a Yada ST.

http://www.protech.be/html/cars.html

Just checked there dealer page and there is numerous stores doing the Protech range in the UK.

big bores are supposedly shipped as I type this but count on getting some when they are actually here. When they do come in you can get them at holeshothobbies.com and will post when they are available for sure. Caster is good about getting stuff though. No sense in getting worked up when they are not here yet. It has one steering servo.

Protech is made by Caster, but it is not the same. Think of Pontiac vs Chevy....

Hey guys check this out. Caster did awesome at one of the PRO SERIES races!!! http://www.neobuggy.net/modules/news/article.php?storyid=4127.

Well guys I installed a 200oz. Caster servo this morning on my ZX1-R before we ran. All I can say is I ran by buggy pretty good today and the servo is pretty darn good! It is fast and it is strong. My Hitec 5955 makes more noise than the Caster servo. Servo took it like a champ today. Hopefully it will keep going strong. Bought it to take a chance on the Caster servos and test it out and so far A+++ 100%. So far so good with the ZX1-R. Have not broken a part on this buggy since I bought it!

Yeah like Pontiac vs Chevy. The Trans Am and the Camaro were mechanically the exact same car, just cosmetic differences. Sorry, I'm a car geek.

So what's everyone been doing lately. Been pretty quiet here. Well I ran the Zx1-R and my K8T truggy this past sunday and did ok with the buggy. Finished 4th in the B-main. Has some troubles in the qualifiers, got hit head on after spinning out and bent a hinge pin (old hinge pins that I should not be using BUT not throwing them out till there done!) then hit the pit ramp at full speed with my rear wheel and broke a rear A-arm. Finished 4th overall in A-main with truggy after starting 4 laps down! So overall not bad.

Practiced today at the state race and It was awesome till the rain came about 3:30pm. I was practicing with the ZX1-R first with my GO 7-port and was a little loose with the bowties's but changed to Crimefighters and it was pretty dialed! Was running with a Mugen (Had a OS V-spec) and a Associated (OS Speed .21) and they could not pass me down the straights. Track was a little loose for the buggy but I adjusted to it easily. I just have to wait and see if there is a race this weekend now. The water was up to my calves on my legs to just get in my truck and half as deep on the track. Caster was definitly noticed today, Had alot of guys coming over to see what it was with all the new caster stickers I put on my practice body!

Is the Caster Racing ZX1-RTR tough?? Hell yes! Check out this video. It is from the state race I was just at and a friend ran a box stock RTR including stock servos the whole 3 days of racing. He is new to racing and this was his first time so give him credit and cut him some slack for entering a state race. There are some sick crashes and NOTHING BROKE!! Even the servos held up! Check out the hit at just under the 4min. mark, got hit full on down the straight buy another buggy and just kept going! He got better the more time he had with the buggy.

Yeah, we have come a long way in the past year. It is just about time to get serious in regards to actually selling vehicles. We are now ready to truly sell to the American market.

I run 20% nitro fuel. The previous owner my have run different. Als different brands of fuel run differently. Can you still contact the previous owner and see what fuel he ran? Also the only way to know about the clutch is to remove the motor and inspect the clutch. Remove the clutch bell and see if the shoes are worn. You can also check at http://www.casterracingusa.com. They have a support forum there for Caster owners too. Let me know if I can help out more.
