I was actually thinking of trying a clear body with the Caster stickers. Thought it might look cool!

Hey Vnmsgt - how does that 3 port run as compared to the 5 and 7 port? How was it breaking in, any easier, harder? I haven't had time to get mine going yet. I'm still waiting for some parts - due this week.

The 3-port was much easier to break in then my 7-port was. It does not have the top end of the 7-port but is still screams and is a real smooth motor, makes the buggy easier to drive. I think the 3 drives more like the 5-port as far as smoothness but the 5-port was like breaking in my Picco .28 I had, a pain in the a$$. The 7-port is kind of peaky for me.

Well I just did some setup changes to my ZX1-R. I changed my Diffs to 5-5-3 and moved my rear upper arms to the center hole on the shock tower and took some toe out of my front whees (they are almost straight now.) Also installed a set of Big Bores on the buggy too. Put 30wt in front and 45wt in rear. Also move my rear upright hinge pin into the lower hole. Trying to get some more on power cornering and a little less push on power. Will see how it goes.

Another person I know just weighed a X-ray 808 against a Caster ZX1-R and the 808 weighed in at 7.125 lbs. and the Caster Racing ZX1-R weighed in at 7.725 lbs!!! Now once the X-ray boys add all there aluminum hops that the Caster does not need it would weigh the same or more then a ZX1-R!!

For the guys that say the Caster is a copy of a Mugen, well everyone always says the mugen buggy has always been a porker and on the heavy side, and in this case Caster must have done alot differently to make it weigh alot less then.

I was considering buying one of these. I cant remember if my lhs has the buggy but I know he has the truggy. I remember bieng VERY impressed when I was looking at it, I thought he was kidding when he told me the price. It looks like a top of the range rig.

I'll go around tomorrow and have another look at them, might bring one back with me

vnmsgt,

Well at my local track alot of guys at the club races I noticed had that fuel line and were running rediculous times and not having to pit as much as some of us. So instead of complaining and making a issue out of I said if they can do it, I can.

They are a top notch product currently. People just have to see them in person to realize that. Once they have it in there hands they realized they bought a quality product for sure and not a second rate product.

Also I just wieghed my ZX1-R as you see it in the pics I posted last page including the body and some fuel and it was 8.125 lbs. I did find out the ZX1-R I mentioned above that was 7.725lbs had the Caster Lightened racing chassis. Just want to keep things straight on what had what installed on it to come up with the weight's I mentioned.

It IS a top of the line rig and it keeps getting better. The problem is that there is no brand name association at this point. So we have to sell it at a lower price in order for a customer to accept the risk of buying an unknown brand. Believe you me, I would love to be able to sell them at the price they are worth, but anyone in their right mind would take a known product instead. EVERYONE that has bought one in the past 6-8 months has been 100% satisfied. We stand behind the product and we believe in customer service. We intend on being here for the long haul and we are in a position to be able to do just that. We will grow exponentially in the near future with the electric line. I see that as the way of the future and it will be interesting to see what others try to bring to the table.

Mike

What do you mean??? Spare parts??? You can get parts at www.holeshothobbies.com and www.casterracingusa.com. ALL parts are readily available and fast shipping. Yes mugen parts will fit but why pay more money for them?? Caster's parts can be ordered anytime and are cheaper. I have been getting parts from them for awhile now and never a problem at all.
